Dr. Souvik Sarkar attended the A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences in Mangalore, India, where he received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. While in India, he worked as a dental surgeon for Lab Tech Inc. Dental Clinic and Prasiddhi Dental Clinic. In 2009, Dr. Sarkar moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he completed his Master of Public Health degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
During his time at UNT, Dr. Sarkar worked in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy as an assistant for Dr. Rustin Reeves, Ph.D. In 2013, Dr. Sarkar moved to Los Angeles, California and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. After completing dental school in 2015, Dr. Sarkar moved back to Texas, where he worked in the city of Snyder at Snyder Smiles as a general dentist. There, he served both children and adults, helping all patients achieve better smiles.
In 2016, Dr. Sarkar moved to Weatherford, Texas, where he started Main Street Dental. Now, Dr. Sarkar continues to work as a general dentist for children and adults, and he strives to be an active member of the community. As a dentist, his goal is to provide excellent, comprehensive care to his patients in friendly and caring environment. He strives to educate and encourage his patients towards achieving an optimal state of oral health. In short, Dr. Sarkar believes that everyone should have a beautiful, healthy smile that will sparkle forever. Dr. Sarkar is originally from Kolkata, India, and he is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Bangali. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and driving. He also enjoys applying is diploma in Fine Arts to his own artwork and paintings.

The hygienist and doctor always keep me and my family informed on what I need for ideal dental health, and supply whatever I need to keep my teeth healthy. I've gone to them for years, they have my trust. I would highly recommend their services.

This dental office is garbage! They call me the day of to tell me they no longer take my insurance. Thanks for the 24 notice, looks like I took the day off of work for nothing! Zero stars find another dentist....

My family and I have been coming here even before Covid, and everyone is always very pleasant and get us taken care of in a timely manner. This past appointment that my children had went great, Dr was very interactive with my children and made them feel safe and made them feel heard when they would tell them about their brushing routine. My husband is usually very picky with Dr's and he also felt very comfortable at this location. We absolutely love this place and highly recommend. Only thing I wish they would do is bring back appointments for Saturday, but other than that amazing place!!!!
