We schedule our day to create a comfortable experience for you to get the treatment you need. We wont overload our schedule because we care about every minute of your time with us. We take great care of you every time you come in.
We clearly explain the steps needed to improve or establish your dental health. We present you with all of your treatment options, and then you decide how to move forward. We welcome your questions and will ensure you get the answers you need. We enjoy building long-term relationships built on trust with results you can see and feel.
We know that utilizing your insurance best or taking advantage of payment plans and options can be the most stressful part of a visit for many people. Our Patient Care Coordinators, Bernie and Cecilia, are expert guides who enjoy helping you fully understand the cost of treatment, your insurance coverage, and the many choices you have.
I became a dentist because I wanted to make a real difference in peoples lives. I loved the idea that the work of my hands could bring improved health and greater comfort to people: people I could continue to know and help for a lifetime.
My wife and two young daughters are my world. When we have a chance to be together as a family laughing, cooking, reading, or just hanging out I often look at them and think to myself, This is the life! We like to go biking on the great trails near us on weekends. We also enjoy swimming and taking martial arts classes together as a family.
My wife and girls keep me grounded and are never far from my thoughts. As a dentist, one of my guiding principles is to take care of you with the same care and heart I want others to treat my family with.
I love my patients and look forward to working with you to solve dental issues and create a treatment that works. I will explain everything clearly and carefully to understand your options every step of the way. Your time, your concerns, and your goals matter to me.
I started Main Street Dental in 2006 and am so grateful to see how people have enjoyed their experiences with us over the years. I love hearing patients say they feel at home at Main Street and tell their friends about the kindness and excellent care they receive here.
I graduated with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2001. In 2014, I became a fellow with the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Every year, I take continuing education courses because I am committed to staying at the forefront of emerging developments in dentistry: the advances that deliver even better outcomes for my patients.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Dr Desai was very patient and helped me understand everything going on throughout the entire process, and was very friendly the entire time! I would highly recommend this dentist!

Today was my very first time being there and everything went smoothly. Reception is great. Kind and very helpful. The dental assistant, Aggie, is amazing. Very knowledgeable and very comforting to you, no matter what. She is ready to answer questions and listen to whatever you need to say before she gets started. Dr. Desai is wonderful! Ready to calm your fears and walk you through the process. He is also ready to answer any question you have. He listened to me without making me feel like I was crazy, so I have a good feeling about coming back for my future dental work. I'm going to recommend this place to everyone. Very happy. P.s. Karen rules. *1/22/2021*UPDATE* Had my first deep cleaning and it went surprisingly well. I live with a common paranoia of losing my teeth so naturally I was a nervous wreck going in. Let me tell you, the people who work here are amazing. HONEST and amazing. They have patience and compassion for their clients. Bernie was my cleaner and she knows her work. She talks you through it and is very careful to not cause you pain and discomfort. 100% best place to fix up your mouth. P.S. Karen still rules. 9/20/2022 Update - Still the best dentist I have ever been to. My teeth have NEVER been this white!! Amazing staff, amazing work.

I moved to east dundee about 4 yrs ago and choosing main street dental was a no brainer because of its location. I enjoyed the environment, the hygienist was very good, and conversations with the doctor were nice. Since Covid this place has fallen from 5 stars to 2. The office changed incurance coverage options and didn't tell me I wasn't covered until billing time, after the fact, shame on them. I have called to ask for clarity on my bill only to be told that they would call back about the issue, they never do. The last few times I came in there was always a new hygienist, I really miss the older woman who was there before covid. The new hygienists are very rough and one of them scratched my tooth and now constantly feel it with my tongue. The doctor pops his head in and doesn't even have a discussion with his patients anymore. After a normal routine cleaning I owe over $100 because incurance no longer covers the visit. I recently received a flyer in the mail from Smile and they offer regular cleaning for under 100 bucks without any insurance. The kicker is I called today to pay my bill and move on, they answered the phone but wouldn't take my payment because they are closed (Friday morning). It's just to difficult to work with this place, I am not happy with the result of the work performed, the doctor has lost interest in his customers, and I feel like I am being taken advantage now that I went elsewhere. I wish this place well, but I will not continue to contribute. -Ryan
