Dr. Norman Magnuson returned to Oregon and began his first dental practice, Norman D. Magnuson, DDS, in 1982. Magnusons son Dr. Ryan Magnuson joined him, and together they offer general, family, and cosmetic dentistry in two cities. The second-generation dentistry that became Magnuson Dental in 2000 is known for its comprehensive treatment planning and exceptional service.
The original location in Eugene continues to serve and offer services to their long-established clients. The new practice in Harrisburg was established in 2019, and growth continues as new patients are accepted from the area and surrounding communities.
Magnuson Dental always has and will continue to be a family business in the state of Oregon. Dr. Norman Magnusons wife, Debby, has served as the office manager for many years. All their children have worked in the offices at some point during the growth of the family practice. Magnuson Dental, a proud father and son dentistry, will accommodate the general, family, and cosmetic needs of all patients.
Dr. Norman Magnuson grew up in Santa Barbara, CA, and attended the University of Oregon before beginning dental school. He realized his passion for the Willamette Valley and returned in 1982 after graduating from Georgetown University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Magnuson has participated and has been an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, CEREC Doctors, Spears Education, American Academy of Dental Boards, and the Western Regional Exam Board.
He and his wife, Debby, have been married for over forty years and have three children: Danna, Ryan, and Jason. They enjoy having eight grandchildren and spending quality time with their families. The outdoors is what brought Dr. Magnuson back to Oregon and continues to be where the family enjoys activities such as fishing and traveling (within the state) and, he is also a farmer.
After graduating from George Fox University, Dr. RyanMagunsonreceived his dental degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Ryan began his passion for dentistry while assisting Dr. Norman Magnuson, his father, well before he graduated in 2018.
Dr. Magnuson believes that community leadership and continual professional development are the hallmarks of a great dentist and practice. He is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, CEREC Doctors and Spears Education.
Alongside his wife, Bethany, and their three children: Isaac, Levi, and Eleanor, they are proud residents of Eugene, Oregon. He and his family enjoy the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, traveling,golfing, swimming, and fishing.

My first visit to Magnuson Dental was by far the best Ive ever experienced! Everyone is so friendly, and obviously interested, and capable of providing very professional dental care. I was totally at ease the entire time I was there.

Family business been going for years .this year I been there alot .Jennifer is great.debbie does her best as her job .Ryan is doing best as his father there also .they also do partial and implants and cavities and crowns.they also have there cute black labs .today tooth got pulled great job ryan.ryan did great job on my partial and implants .they are also taking new patients.ryan is the future of Magnuson dental.fast too in and out.ryan also double check on your teeth after procedure.you can change appointment easy

I am an 87 year old woman who spends summers in OR and winters in AZ. My front tooth broke and I tried 3 different dental offices who could not help me. I am praising my LORD that I went into Magnuson Dental where I was given the most immediate and professional care ever.

This was a great visit. It didn't hurt that I've been taking good care of my teeth! All staff members are personal, give of themselves, are honest and straight up. Conversations during treatment are often lengthy and fruitful, full of laughs. It was the same at checkout. Mary, Debbie, Natasha and Laura all really enhanced my day.

What a discovery...! I needed a check up and cleaning before going in for a heart valve replacement...Magnuson Dental was able to accommodate me on a very short timeframe. They re-worked their entire schedule to make room for me. But better than that, these guys are really, really good. I recently moved to the area and was quite apprehensive that I would ever be able to find someone that was as good as the dentist I had in Scottsdale...But Magnuson Dental was amazing. Very gentle cleaning, and a Doc that was just as gentle and caring as the Doc I had in Arizona. That visit made me a permanent customer. And they have a reasonable family plan as well. Wow.

My dentist, who I had seen for ten years, retired last year. He was great! Not only was he technically sound, but he was also attentive to my particular need, which is hard to find these days. I know this because, since his retirement, I've gone to three dentists. Each of them lacked an X factor that I will call professional integrity, which is very important to me. So when I consulted with Dr. Ryan at Magnuson Dental, I couldn't have been happier with my experience! It was evident from the start that Dr. Ryan and his support staff value integrity as much as I do. What this means in the long run, because I plan to be a member of the Magnuson dental family for as long as I remain on this planet, is that I feel I can trust these people to be in service of my greater good.
