Dr. Nilsson Stokes is a native Mobilian who graduated from Baker High School in 1992. He then received his bachelor degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Alabama in 1996 and his doctorate from the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry in 2005.
Dr. Wayne Shotts was born in Mobile and graduated from Murphy High School in 1960. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Springhill College in 1964 and his DMD from the University of Alabama in 1968. After serving in the US Army Dental Corps, he practiced in Tampa, FL for 4 years before returning to Mobile where he has practiced since 1975. He is a member of the First Destin Dental Society, the Mobile Area Dental Society, the Alabama Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Magnolia Dental is the most wonderful group of people! My 89 yr old mother is also a patient, and these folks go out of their way to accommodate her needs, from scheduling us at the same time, to positioning her head so she is comfortable. I love every single one of this crew!!! I was there just yesterday for a filling, and I laughed and giggled the whole time in the chair. How often can you say that about a dental visit?

If I could give 0 stars I would. First nobody, I mean nobody in the office that I saw was wearing a mask. There were 2 other people seated in the waiting room and they were not wearing a mask . I would think due to the surge of cases in the area there would be some type of mask requirement. I immediately canceled my appointment. If you are not thinking about your own safety, I know you are not thinking of mine.

Magnolia Dental Care is a wonderful practice! Dr. Stokes is a top notch dentist and I have been going to him for years. His staff is very friendly, from reception to assistants and hygienists. Dr. Stokes does great work and he truly cares about his patients. I had a molar that was REALLY bothering me and I was convinced that it had a crack in it. I had extreme cold sensitivity and I had avoided chewing on it for a month or two because of the pain. Dr. Stokes did a thorough examination and assured me that I only needed to have my old filling replaced. I was so grateful for him taking a conservative approach to my dental care and not wasting my money with an unnecessary root canal or crown.

Worst dentist, great hygienist, worst dentist I've ever even thought about letting touch me. He's rude and money hungry. Completely opposite of "comfort dental care." I have a broken tooth and he wanted to do a root canal. I asked for him to just pull it and he got mad. Then proceeded to try and attempt work on me without telling me what he was going to do. When I got scared of the needle he immediately stomped off and refused to work on me. I may have been in the chair a total of 5 minutes

I highly recommend Magnolia Dental. I have been a patient of Dr. Stokes for over 10 years and my 13 year old super sensitive daughter has been seeing him for about 3 years. We are both very pleased with the level of care we have received from everyone there. My daughter loves Dr. Stokes and thanks to his calm, reasuring manner, she no longer has any anxiety about going to the dentist. The hygienists are also great, very patient and caring. We always skip the flouride treatments and they have no problem with letting me make that decision. I love the way Dr. Stokes explains things in a way that is easy to understand. He fitted me with an aligner that has straightened my teeth after they shifted from not wearing my retainer when I was young. I'm very happy with the results.

Have never been to a better dentist than Dr. Stokes. He is so gentle and considerate and very friendly. Shots don't even hurt. I never feel rushed or pressured. The entire staff at Magnolia Dental are extremely friendly and professional. I highly recommend Magnolia Dental and Dr. Stokes.
