Dr. Laski Kung is a graduate of Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, where he received both his Master of Medical Sciences degree and Certificate in Orthodontics. He completed an orthodontic residency at Harvard and, during this time, was trained at Boston Childrens Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital through clinical rotations.
Dr. Kung earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California at San Francisco. During his education, he was awarded the first-place prize from the California Dental Association for his clinical research on Induced Osteogenesis by Periosteal Distraction.
He has served as Chief Clinical Director for the University of Southern California San Francisco Community Dental Clinic and was later elected into the prestigious dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon upon graduation from dental school.
Dr. Kung is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society, and the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics.

Our family has had a great experience with Madison Orthodontics and Dr. Kung and his staff. I had three of my children assessed for orthodontics by Dr. Kung. I thought it was very honest that he thought two of my children could wait until they were older. For my child that needed braces, he took time to patiently explain the options and finished the treatment plan quicker than estimated. We will be back once our other children need braces!

I went to Dr. Kung after seeing another Orthodontist. Dr. Kung's price was far more reasonable and the time it would take was a lot less than I was previously quoted. Dr. Kung sat down with me and explained the entire process from start to finish answering all my questions up front. He is one of the most personable Dentists I have had the privilege of dealing with. He has the greatest Staff as well. Making appointments and the occasional reschedule was never a problem. Britney is the assistant that I would see every month and I cannot say enough about her professionalism, knowledge and experience when working on me. I am extremely satisfied with how amazing my smile looks. I really appreciate Dr. Kung and his entire Staff.

Best orthodontist in Sacramento. Dr. Kung is very friendly and informative. The staff (Barbara, Brittany, and Lori)are very nice and caring. Every visit is always a great experience. Never had a visit where my questions and concerns were not addressed. They are very flexible when it come to having to work with my dentist appointments as well. Both locations are very clean and up to date and very convenient for me.

2-year supernumerary and impacted tooth journey on a child done with first class service! Google "supernumerary" and you'll see. My son's case was very complicated but Dr. Kung was able to correct it like it was no big deal. Thank you Dr. Kung and staff!

I loved the way Dr. Kung and Teresa engaged with my son. After all, he's the one who will be in treatment. They cared about all his concerns and asked if he had any questions during our consult. I was referred to Dr. Kung because my bite was not optimum and I was told previously that the only fix was surgery. My front teeth did not touch! I was never able to bite the lettuce out of a sandwich, for example. I would embarrassingly have to pull it off/out with my fingers. Not terribly fun at a lunch or dinner meeting. Dr. Kung took a look and promptly told me "We can fix that." and proceeded to show me pictures of clients with the same problem and their before/after pictures. He told me what it would entail (braces, pallet expander, and some micro implants), but no surgery. While I wasn't looking forward to braces at my age (47) I really wanted this fixed so I took the leap. Barely 13 months later my problem is completely corrected and I am SO happy! I am amazed how fast my teeth moved into place and how easy it was. It is such a pleasure to be able to take a perfect bite out of a burger and have every piece end up where it is supposed to. Perfect mouth shaped bites! Dr. Kung's and his staff are an absolute pleasure to work with and they do great work! Extremely professional and very competent. I was kept well informed at every visit of my progress and what was coming next. I can't tell you how happy I am with my results...and there was NO SURGERY! If you have a problem similar to mine, go see Dr. Kung. He does amazing work!

Dr. Laski Kung and his staff were great! I felt a little awkward at first having braces at my age. They made me feel right at home and were very responsive to any questions. I would highly recommend Dr Kung for orthodontics at any age.
