My profession means a lot to me. Being a dentist has allowed me to tend to patients needs for over 30 years. Every day has been spent building trusting connections within the community, restoring or improving oral health, and sharing in peoples lives.

I was determined, when I started the practice, to establish a comfortable environment where patients felt at home, while also providing the best dental care. Thirty years on, I feel I accomplished this goal, and much more.

Each day at the office brings fresh challenges: every patient is an individual and deserves dental care that reflects their unique situation. It is my responsibility to learn what my patient desires, fully and properly diagnose their clinical needs, and then design a solution for the person. I strive to provide up-to-date, comfortable care that provides lasting, healthy results.

One of the most fascinating aspects of dentistry is the ongoing improvement in the field. We are now able to address a wider range of issues, in remarkably innovative and effective ways, then when I completed dental school.

I seek out continuing education (CE) in order to learn of the newest techniques and stay current on the latest research. CE allows me to apply the skills and knowledge-base I already have and to improve it over time. I choose to participate in CE because dentistry continually advances and improve and I, as a dentist, wish to do the same.

I am a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. These organizations offer a variety of CE opportunities, from meetings and lectures to online courses and classes directed by local oral surgeons and periodontists.

I am a Prospect Heights native. My wife Kristy works here in the office a couple of days a week and has been core to the success of the practice. We have three children: two sons who live in Chicago and our daughter, Dr. Kelsey!

When Im not work I love to be in the kitchen cooking up a good meal for my family. I also like tending to my saltwater fish tank, which is home to quite a few tropical fish and corals, and being outdoors and working on the lawn.

I enjoy creating an environment where patients who have dental anxiety feel safe and are able to relax. In doing so, we are able to build a trusting relationship, which helps my patient have optimal oral health and be receptive to learning how to maintain their healthy smile.

Dentistry offers the perfect balance of patient interaction, medicine, and hands-on care. Its challenging, requiring me to constantly think about what is in the patients best interest in order to achieve the desired results, and communicating that to my patient.

Each day I am excited to come to work and come into contact with unique stories and lessons. Every patient every person teaches me something new. Getting to know these people on a personal level, and developing a real relationship with each, is an amazing experience!

My profession means the world to me. I went into college with the goal of becoming a dentist and spent eight years working toward that goal. Now, as a practicing dentist, I am able to tend to patients with different needs and desires.

I am able to rid a person of dental pain; I am able to create or restore an aesthetic smile; and I am able to ensure my patients have the very best oral health. I cannot imagine a more fulfilling way to spend my days!

It is crucial I stay at the forefront of the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide patients with the highest quality care. Continuing education (CE) keeps me up-to-date with the newest information and techniques in dentistry. It also allows me to constantly learn and grow as a practitioner.

I choose to participate in CE through meetings, lectures, seminars, and online courses because dentistry is constantly advancing. There are always new things to add to the mental repertoire of information and I want to know them all.

I am an active member of the American Dental Association and Chicago Dental Society. Through these organizations I have access to the latest research, discussions of treatment modalities, and opportunities to learn about the newest technological advances.

I live in my hometown of Prospect Heights and am close to my family: my dad is Dr. Mitch and he works one room down the hall. My mom is Kristy and she works here at the office a few days a week. I have two brothers, too, both of whom live in Chicago.

When Im not at work I like spending time with family and friends. I enjoy being outdoors, whether for a short walk in the neighborhood or a hike in Colorado, and love to travel. I love finding new restaurants and exploring all that Chicago offers, too!

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

For more than 30 years, it has been our honor to care for generations of smiles. We welcome everyone in the family, whether were seeing a toddler at their first visit, helping a parent improve their smile, or restoring function for grandparent or great-grandparent. You will always be treated kindly, with respect for your unique needs and desires.

Individualized Care: You are unique, with specific clinical and personal needs, as well as individual concerns and desires. We respect this fact and invest time to learn exactly what you want from your dental care.

You will never feel like an anonymous patient number on a chart or set of teeth in an exam chair, we promise. Instead, you will be greeted by name, welcomed like family, and provided with dental care designed around you!

Focus on Education: Dr. Mitch Maczko, Dr. Kelsey Maczko, and our team believe an educated patient is best able to make informed decisions. We will spend a lot of time talking about your specific oral health concerns, reviewing the diagnosis, and walking you through the different treatment options. Rather than pushing you in one direction, we ensure you have the information needed to make knowledgeable decisions and be an active participant in your dental health!

That passion for education applies to us, as well. We constantly seek out continuing educational opportunities, studying the latest technological advancements, along with new methodologies and approaches to patient care. This allows us to remain at the forefront of dentistry, incorporating the best new options into your treatment.
