Dr. Edward Maurice Mackis a graduate of the University of Michigans Graduate Endodontic Program. Among his many accomplishments, he is a 2001 graduate of Meharry Medical College of Dentistry. Upon completion of dental school he served his country by joining the Army. While in the army he demonstrated mental toughness by completing airborne training at Fort Benning, GA. He also served as a brigade dentist in Baghdad, Iraq for the 82nd Airborne Division. During his assignment in Iraq, Dr. Mack was awarded the Combat Medical Badge and the Army Commendation Medal.
Presently, Dr. Mack is a board certified, practicing endodontist in Memphis, TN. He treats patients in the area of endodontics and endodontic related surgeries. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, Shelby County Dental Society and the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Mack has a strong concern for improving the mental and physical health of others. His qualities of kindness, attentiveness, determination, and deep religious convictions all contribute to Dr. Mack being a tremendous asset to the Memphis community.

I appreciate how upfront they were about the costs. I don't like the offices that beat around the bush. Dr. Mack made me feel relaxed as he performed the root canal. He made me feel hard when I spoke about my anxiety over dental work. I find the numbing procedure very painful and torturous but he was able to complete it quickly and relatively pain free. I'm only sad that he isn't my regular dentist.

From the receptionist, Erica to the dental assistant, Waynesha to Dr Mack, I found this office to be extremely professional, courteous, pleasant and timely. The office itself (including the bathroom) is clean and pleasing to the eye. Instructions and explanations are clear and concise with encouragement to ask questions. After making his evaluation, the Dr explained it to me as well as the procedure. During the process I was checked on several times by the Dr as well as the assistant to make sure I was ok. I hope to never need an endodontist again(yeah, right) but if I do this is where I will come

Front desk was amazing. Dr Mack and his staff are the best in this field in the area.. My son had had to have extensive with done.. He had never been scared or in pain after a procedure.. Highly recommend..

Dr. Mack was recommended to me by a friend and was able to see me on an emergent basis. I would travel to his office to get work done if I have to for his excellent demeanor and comfort with procedures. With him I feel comfortable getting all my dental work done to prevent future emergencies

Dr. Mack and his associates were so very helpful and nice. They were so cordial and welcoming. Each person helped me very well. Also Dr. Mack diagnosed my problem with expertise. He has awesome customer service. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

I guess his secretary have a long tenure as a dentist because she told me I will have to pay over a $1000 out of pocket for treatment without seeing me in yet. Then she goes "what do you want me to do we just have to extract the tooth then". I know that my dentist referred me to this place so she can see a full view of my tooth. This place gives off vibes of we just want the money and do minimal work.

They almost killed my child. Did not treat the abscess and preformed a root canal. Did not get out all the infection which caused it to spread. RUN LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT BECAUSE IT TRULY DOES.

First, the receptionist (Erica) that scheduled and confirmed my appointment was very friendly, helpful and professional. The office was extremely clean and welcoming. Dr. Mack himself explained everything and I loved that he was so soft spoken. I have had a lot of dental work done in my life, but this place stood out. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Should have his license revoked. Their office told me amoxicillin is for treatment in viral infections. I can't make this up.
