Dr. Carr established her dental practice here in Mandeville, Louisiana in March of 1996. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in June of 1992, after which she sought further education in dentistry through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. Dr. Carr taught dentistry in the clinical setting of OU College of Dentistry, and at LSU School of Dentistry, and also at Rose State College in Oklahoma teaching pathology to dental hygiene students. While in Oklahoma, Dr. Carr had the difficult honor of helping at the Medical Examiners office after the devastating terrorism that occurred at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. She was able to help the dental team gather data that aided in the identification of the victims in that horrible event.
Professionally, Dr. Carr has been active in the American Association of Women Dentists, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, Northlake Dental Association, Krewe of Dental Review Study Club, Lake Ponchartrain Study Club, Omicron Kappa Upsilon and other affiliations. Within the AAWD, Dr. Carr has served for years as the District XII Trustee, followed by being the Editor of the Chronicle which is a newsletter that appeared in the national journal, Woman Dentist Journal, and then, Secretary of AAWD before taking time out for her family.
Martha Carr was born in Washington, DC, lived in Roswell, New Mexico, then in Kansas, and Oklahoma before relocating to Mandeville, Louisiana in 1996. She married a local boy from Covington, named Jeff Falkenstein. Martha and Jeff are the proud parents of Cecilia and Elise and Gabriella. Dr. Carr also has an I Do child she is very proud of named Aaron. Jeff and Martha love music and have played in various bands, as well as in the Contemporary Church Choir at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Old Mandeville. Jeff and the children were all inspired by Aaron's love for the theatre, and they perform in various plays and musicals. Dr. Carr is very proud of her little thespians.
Dr. Carr enjoys her family, getaways to the beach anywhere, walking along the lakefront, music, singing, playing the flute, and learning how to play the piano. She also dabbles in writing songs with her husband, and alone.
Dr. Martha Anne Carr firmly believes in prevention and conservative treatment when it comes to dentistry. She strives to make the dental environment pleasant and enjoyable, and even fun. She loves to laugh and make others join her and enjoys the company of all of her patients whom she considers her extended family. She is passionate about all that she does and always strives to give her best and do what she would do for herself or a family member. My name is Jeff Falkenstein. I have been a part of this amazing dental practice for many years in various ways, but I assumed the job of office manager in October of 2015. I have four incredible children, who keep me grounded and keep me young. When Im not working to make this the best dental practice ever, I enjoy music, both songwriting and performing, and I enjoy acting both on film and in local theater productions.
Hello my name is Alicia Winslow. I am an 2016 graduate of LSU where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental hygiene. It is my goal to make a difference and educate my patient's on their oral health care and want them to feel comfortable and confident with each visit. I currently live in Covington, Louisiana with my husband Jonathan and three beautiful children Benjamin (6), Adalynn (4) and Julian (2). In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, planning trips to Disney, cooking and baking
Dr. McCracken is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of LSU and has been practicing for over thirty years in Mandeville. He is a new and happy member of the MAC Family Dentistry practice, although he has had a long professional relationship with Dr. Carr. They have consulted and taken call with each other for many years. He 's lived in Mandeville since 1988, is married to his beautiful wife, Roxanne, and slightly annoyed that his son has moved to Houston with his new wife, but understands, since that 's how he came to be back in Louisiana where he belongs. Like many in Louisiana, he enjoys fishing, festivals, music, and LSU football. He 's never been a fan of the term 'practice' to describe a professional career and prefers the term 'experience' to describe how growth in knowledge expands with time. He loves what he does and has no plans on retiring, so stop asking, he 's here for the long haul.
Hey there! I'm Mary Cathrine, I was born and raised in Mandeville, where I now reside with my husband, Justin, and two boys, Teddy (3) and Jackson (1). We love to travel, be outside, and enjoy being with family and friends! I graduated from LSU dental hygiene school in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. I love building relationships with my patients while educating them and treating them with the best care!
