Brandon is a native Las Crucen attending and graduating from Mayfield High School in 2000, where he played soccer. After graduation he continued his education earning a BS in Chemical Engineering, and a minor in Chemistry from New Mexico State University.
Brandon earned his D.D.S. from University of Detroit Mercy which celebrated its 75 anniversary of its first graduating class. Brandon was active in his education at Detroit Mercy, being involved in numerous mission trips to Honduras with the Christian Dental Association and local outreach with Angel House Ministries.
He was selected to participate in a fellowship of Forensic Odontology at the Wayne County Medical Examiners office; one of the busiest in the country with over 3000 autopsies per year. Brandon was educated in a research based environment coupled with the latest dental technologies including CEREC, and digital impressions.

Dr. Mabry and his staff have been there for me when needed. X-rays are not routine. He understands my desire not to have X-rays. He agrees that I need to visit only once a year for cleaning. Martha does that very well. On July 2, 2012 he did a porcelain onlay for a molar -- the first one I needed during my 9 years in Las Cruces. Another of his staff, Monica, assisted. The procedure went well - just using a local to numb the area. I was walking out of the office within two hours. He called to check on me that night and again on July 3. (By July 3 the onlay was as if it had always been there and I almost forgot about it.) The cost was within the range for onlays as posted online for U.S. dental work.

I actually had a wonderful time at a dentist office, and will again and again. What a staff and wonderful work done by the dentist. I am impressed and wlll be back for my half year cleaning and let me not forget the equipment. Cool stuff. I know I will be a repeat. Good to me and good to my wallett.

I feel that Dr. Achen is a very down to earth dentist with a phenomenal staff that are all very friendly and do good work. I've had everything from routine cleanings and x-rays to having broken teeth repaired by Dr. Achen and am very pleased. His new partner Dr. Mabry is also very friendly, although I've only seen him for one exam. I'd definitely recommend going to them for your dental needs.
