Dr. Vajdi graduated from Case Western University School of Dentistry in 1985, where he was a part-time instructor while practicing in Cleveland. He has been practicing in Washington, D.C. since 1988 and is dedicated to providing all of his patients with exceptional dental care.
Dr. Vajdi is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Computerized Dentistry. He is also a member of the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland Dental Societies, as well as a number of local study clubs.
To acquaint patients with the procedures and technologies involved with cosmetic and restorative dentistry, Dr. Vajdi uses the interactive CAESY Patient Education System. The CAESY Education System allows patients to gain a more thorough understanding of the procedures they will undergo. Dr. Vajdi is pleased to offer his patients the opportunity to explore CAESY's online database of information. This incredible resource is available as a special courtesy to his valued patients.
The overall cost of your dental treatment will vary depending on your unique needs and the treatment plan decided upon by you and Dr. Vajdi. We will make sure to discuss the potential cost of your treatment plan with you beforehand so that you make the best choice for you, and your smile. We will work with you and your provider(s) to create a treatment and payment plan that fits your budgets and maximizes and dental benefits you may have. Knowing what to expect before beginning treatment is as important to us as it is to you.
As a note, insurance plans are designed to reduce your cost not eliminate it entirely. We highly recommend that you are familiar with your dental plan benefitsas we do not participate with most insurance plans. Some important concepts to remember:

Dr. Merhad Vajdi is the best dentist l have ever seen. I am 62 and that's five and a half decades of dental work not counting my baby teeth. He is always patient and gentle. His experience and expertise are evident from the moment he begins treatment until he walks you out of the office to the reception and billing area. The ladies who work the front office are always kind and helpful and friendly. Sam has the smoothest of hearts. I will miss Michelle, but sometimes we need a change. Suzette seems to be a good addition and she was very supportive with setting up my future appointments. Tiko is extremely amiable and she has a wonderful way to put you at ease when the doctor is injecting the novocaine. She works so well with Dr. Vajdi and she is strong, positive and that is very reassuring. Gwen is the only person who you will allow for your dental hygiene after she cleans your teeth and treat your gums. It's almost as if she's gliding through your mouth on a snowboard and doing your dental hygiene without any pain at all. Yes, Dr. Vajdi really is a superior person and a superlative dentist. On a scale of 1 to 10. . . Well, you guessed it, he rates off the scale.

Dr. Vajdi has been my dentist for many years and I have the highest regard for him and his staff. I also have a mouthful of his dental work that has held up remarkably well. Over the years I have seen new technologies come into Dr. Vajdi's office. They make his work faster and easier for me but Dr. Vajdi's personal warmth and attention have remained unchanged.

As a patient for 10 years, I can attest that Dr. Vajdi's dental office is superior in many ways, starting with the doctor himself who is very experienced and skillful and has a patient and gentle manner. He uses the very latest dental techniques and equipment to ensure a safe and painless experience. The staff is extremely friendly and professional and the office is immaculate, employing sterile techniques above and beyond what is required by CDC guidelines. Even the pens provided have been sterilized!
