After completing his undergraduate degree at Stephen F. Austin State University in 1982, Dr. Smith attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1986. Following graduation, he was able to continue his education at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and also received advanced training during his residency at the VA Medical Center, the Childrens Hospital, the ODonoghue Rehabilitation Hospital, and Oklahoma Memorial Hospital.
Following this phase of his education, Dr. Smith served as an associate in a Oklahoma City dental office before opening this very dental office in 1988. Today, he still regularly pursues continuing education opportunities in his quest for clinical excellence.
Dr. Smith has been married to his best friend Leslye since 1983, and they have four wonderful adult children together. Theres Jessica and her husband Beau, Rachel and her husband Cody, Ashton and her husband Dylan, and their son Brett. They also have two precious grandchildren named Kinley and Camden!
Rachel has been a part of our team for 5 years, and she loves being the first person a patient sees when they walk in. Nothing makes her happier than ensuring someone feels comfortable and welcomed from the moment they step through our doors! Rachel is OSHA and HIPAA certified. She and her husband, Cody, have a young son named Camden as well as two dogs. When she isnt at the dental office, youll most likely find Rachel spending time with her family, watching sports, cooking, going to concerts, or walking her dogs.
A 15-year dentistry veteran, Skylee truly loves working with the rest of our team and having the opportunity to serve our community on a daily basis. A graduate of Platt College, she is certified in intraoral photos and Invisalign. She has three very smart and beautiful daughters as well as a sweet granddaughter she looks forward to spoiling. At home, she likes to spend her free time cooking for her family, traveling, and watching documentaries.
Jessica brings 8 years of experience to our team, and she says the best part of her job is building relationships with each of our patients and watching them change as we help them achieve their smile goals. In addition to her hygiene training, she also has certifications in soft tissue laser therapy, OSHA, HIPAA, periodontal screening, and treatment planning. Jessica is a very artistic person. She has a music degree and once sang with the Houston Grand Opera, and she is also a mixed media and digital artist. She is the owner of Mixed Soul Studio and enjoys doing several shows each year as well as keeping up with an Etsy shop. When she isnt making something or attending a concert, youll find her spending time with her husband, teenage boys, three crazy dogs, and two cats.
