Originally from Clemmons, Dr. Tony Porter graduated from West Forsyth High School and earned his Eagle Scout Award from Troop 752. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from North Carolina State University. While he was earning his degree, he also worked as an orthodontic lab technician.

Because Dr. Porter knows it is important to stay on top of developments in the dental field, he is a member of several professional associations. He has served as an officer in the Forsyth County Dental Society, the Second District Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society. In all three, he became President of the organization. He is also former chair of the North Carolina Dental Society Board of Trustees. He continues to serve the North Carolina Dental Society serving on the NC Missions of Mercy Advisory Committee and the Political Action Committee. He is currently a delegate to the American Dental Associations House of Delegates.

Dr. Porter has served on the UNC Dental Alumni Association, and has been an examiner for the NC State Board of Dental Examiners and the Council of Interstate Testing Agencies (CITA). Dr. Porter has been inducted into the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists, as well as the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Even though Dr. Porter is immersed in Carolina Blue, he still bleeds Wolfpack Red! Dr. Porter is a lifetime member of the NC State Alumni Association and an avid member of the Wolfpack Club. His son, Alex, is a graduate of Appalachian State University and his daughter, Ashley, graduated from NC State and UNC Dental School. Dr. Porter and his wife, Angie, can be seen at most Wolfpack basketball games since they have season tickets and lifetime rights!

Dr. Ayuso is from Winston-Salem and is Dr. Porters daughter. She graduated from West Forsyth High School, as well, and went on to follow in her fathers footsteps at NC State, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Zoology. Dr. Ayuso then completed her education at UNC School of Dentistry, receiving her DDS in May of 2014.

Dr. Ayuso is a member of the Forsyth County Dental Society. She is currently serving as President and served previously as secretary, treasurer, and program director. She is also a member of the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Ayuso currently serves as President of the Second District of the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Ayuso completed the 2014 NCDS Leadership Academy and attended the ADA Annual Session to complete courses in implant and laser dentistry. Dr. Ayuso completed her fellowship in Implant Dentistry and is a member of the International Dental Implant Association.

She has always had a passion for community service and has been a dedicated member of the NC Missions of Mercy projects since 2006. She also spent time providing dental services to the underserved in Costa Rica and Panama while receiving her education. Dr. Ayuso, her colleagues, and staff all serve at the local Community Care Clinic and in the past helped Dr. Porter to organize and run the local NC: MOM Winston-Salem Dental Clinic where they provided free dental services to those without access to dental care.

Dr. Ayuso is also a proud member of the Reynolda Rotary Club. She served as Chair of the Community Teams Committee for the American Heart Association Winston Salem Heart Walk in 2016. Dr. Ayuso enjoys swimming, cooking, and spending time at the beach with her family.
