I have been with Dr, Bard since her practice opened. She has always been tentative to all my needs and takes the time to thoroughly explain procedures. Her office is beautiful and has the best equipment! I would highly recommend her services to others in the Philadelphia area!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! I went to her as a new patient. She told me that I had 7 cavities and needed to get them filled. She took advantage of my naivety and tricked me into getting two "cavities" filled. I was massively anxious and I hated the procedures Dr. Bard did to me. Because I had never had a cavity before, I became suspicious after she recommended THREE MORE APPOINTMENTS after she already did two fillings. So, I requested my medical records from her and the X rays. I had the records and X-rays sent to two different dentists, both of whom said there was absolutely no evidence of cavities what so ever. I had new X rays taken as well with another dentist that confirmed there WERE NO CAVITIES and there was NO NEED for drilling. AVOID THIS "DENTIST" AT ALL COSTS.

I wish I had read the negative review before I went to see Dr. Lynda Bard. She is manipulative, unkind, and swindles you for as many appointments and unnecessary procedures as she can. I first went in her office in May as a new patient. Prior to my appointment, I had my records from my previous dental office sent over so she knew, in advance, my dental history. I went in because my filling cracked, which I informed her of when scheduling. I scheduled an appointment for what I thought was a filling- all she did was go in my mouth and more or less tell me that it was cracked. A complete waste of my time and money. I also expressed to her my dental anxiety and she made me feel HORRIBLE about it. She said, "Maybe if you went to the dentist more often you wouldn't have such an irrational fear of the dentist." It is wildly inappropriate and unfair to characterize every case of dental anxiety or a dental phobia as irrational. The people who suffer from these feelings are experiencing very REAL emotions. As a "professional", it should have been her responsibility to help me manage my worries and get comfortable. Instead, she demoralized my feelings and only made it worse. Dr. Bard said she would not do a filling until I had a cleaning. If that is the case, why did she schedule me for an appointment AT ALL when she had my records prior to my appointment? P.S. Yes, she had my records- I scheduled the appointment with her and not a receptionist. She also informed me that I needed to get my top wisdom teeth removed (which cause me no issues) before doing a filling on the bottom, which makes zero sense. Despite all this, I decided to move forward because I REALLY wanted to get my tooth taken care of. Therefore, I scheduled a cleaning with her office (which they could not get me in until JULY for). THEN she let me schedule for my filling, a month later. I went in for my "filling" and she took a new x-ray and said now that "I waited so long" that I had to get a root canal. WHAT?! It only took so long because she REFUSED to do my filling when I first came in to her office in MAY. She made me get a cleaning first and her schedule dictated that I could not get in for 2 1/2 months. I OBVIOUSLY was trying to get the problem fixed for months, which is why I went to see the dentist in the first place! At this point, I lost what very little trust I had in her so I decided to get a second opinion. That was the best decision I made, because guess what? THE VERY NEXT DAY, a new dentist got me in for a FILLING, AND I did NOT need a root canal. I also did NOT need to get my wisdom teeth removed before doing a filling. PLEASE consider the negative reviews before scheduling an appointment with this office!

Dr. Bard is the only dentist I trust in Philly! Her office is gorgeous and has the latest technology and equipment. I trust her so much I make my family members drive 2 hours so she can give them a second opinion. You will never find a more caring dentist who only delivers exceptional care at every visit.

Dr. Lynda Bard is manipulative and just tries to suck all the money out of her patients that she possibly can. She also just does terrible work. She kept telling me to get work done with other specialty dentists who she clearly partners with and gets paid for recommending new patients to. She had me get a root canal (I'm 24 years old) and she wanted me to get all of my wisdom teeth removed, even though they are causing no problems. The worst thing is that after getting the root canal, she REFUSED to put a crown on the sensitive, loose tooth until I got three cavities filled by her! Despite my requests to just get the crown done first, she did two fillings on my left side and totally botched them. She stopped using water while drilling, which caused intense heat and now I believe the nerves are damaged. I couldn't tell at the time because I was numbed. Now I have major sensitivity on both of those teeth over a month later, and she STILL wouldn't crown the root canal tooth until I got the third filling done. That was exactly one month after getting the root canal ... you're supposed to get the crown done days after the operation. Well, she'll never be touching another tooth of mine.
