Growing up in a dental family, Dr. Melkers interest in dentistry sparked when he worked for his father as a chairside assistant and in-house laboratory technician. His fathers care and focus on patient well-being was an inspiration for your Hanover dentist to pursue dentistry. He saw, in the ability to help his patients, the opportunity to blend science, engineering, and artistry.
As Dr. Melkers said, My Dad has always been my hero. He did not teach me how to treat teeth. He taught me how to treat people. That is the difference that made all of the difference. At Lyme Road Dental, youll find a sign from his fathers very first practice in 1973 right above Dr. Melkers door to his private office.

Dr. Paul is very experienced and thorough with a no-nonsense approach. There is no big "sell" for things you might not need. The office is very warm and inviting and the staff is topnotch. Especially the Hygienists!

I have been attending Lyme Road Dental for 18 years and have had many procedures. I trust them so much that I drive 45 minutes to go there. Staff is super professional and follow guidelines to a T!

I went for my first visit to Lyme Road Dental after it was recommended by a friend and I could not have been more pleased. Every member of the staff I dealt with was friendly, professional, and helpful. The office is spotless and very well equipped. Dr. Melkers was great. He made me feel very comfortable and completed the most comprehensive dental exam I have experienced with the very capable aid of his assistant. If you are looking for a dentist I could certainly recommend Lyme Road Dental.

I have been going to Lyme Road Dental for decades and have gotten excellent care the entire time I have gone. I have watched both hygienists and doctors come and go and have gotten the same superior care from day one by everyone. The entire staff is personable , knowledgable and caring. I appreciate everyone there .

This has been a dental emergency month for me. I had to have an emergent extraction . Despite a full schedule, they fit me in very promptly, did not make me feel rushed. To top all that off Dr. Mike explained the whole procedure to me, allayed all my fears and extracted my tooth painlessly! As I was leaving the office, he gave me his personal cell phone number to call if I should run into any problems on account of the extraction overnight. Wow, I feel so fortunate to have found this practice!

I'm as pleased as my mouth is with Lyme Road Dental ! Highly accredited professional MD's & technical staff. Uber friendly, organized and accommodating practice. Total adherence to pandemic related medical protocols. Super kind & friendly atmosphere. Going to the dentist for me and my family is actually fun (honestly!).
