Lyman Family Dentistry was founded in 1968 by Dr. Grady Brooky Brooks. As a lifelong resident of Lyman, Dr. Brooks established a standard of excellence that has carried on to this day. Through the years, Dr. Larry Miller, Dr. Matthew Word, Dr. Heather Wright, and Dr. Chris Ayers, along with our staff and support members, have carried on this tradition of excellence.
Many of our current patients have been seen here for decades. Several generations of family members are routinely seen in our office, and this loyalty is a testament to the exceptional care that is provided in our office.

Our number one goal is to provide outstanding treatment in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Dr. Chris D. Ayers, DMD, was born and raised in Taylors, SC, just down the road from Lyman Family Dentistry. He is an honors graduate of Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina. During his time at Clemson and MUSC, Dr. Ayers was an active leader in many community outreach programs and various philanthropies, as well as an award-winning student who also held many diverse positions in several social, academic, and charitable organizations. He has practiced dentistry in both Charleston and the Upstate, with extensive experience in all areas of restorative, cosmetic, emergency, and comprehensive dentistry.
In 2010, he married his wonderful wife Marianne, who is also a dentist. They are proud parents of two amazing children, John and Amelia. When not engaging in his passion of practicing dentistry, Dr. Ayers enjoys spending time with his family, sports, and being outdoors anywhere in the beautiful state of South Carolina.

With many years of skillful experience, our staff has received extensive training and continuing education in their various areas of expertise, and mandatory certification and licensure requirements are firmly maintained. Each individual staff member is committed to providing a caring, professional, and compassionate environment to ensure that every patient has a positive experience at our office.

Dr. Chris Ayers and his staff are wonderful. He and Rebecca took such good care of me. My crown came off and Deann called me Monday morning to come right in. I didn't have to call them. Tiffany is my regular hygienist. She always does an amazing cleaning and goes above and beyond. Friendly, professional staff.

I had a crown fall off late at night and called them the next morning to see when I could get an appointment.Not only did they get me in that same day, but they also were able to make a brand new crown in just a few hours.Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease.They took the extra time to make sure the new crown color matched my other teeth.I was never in pain or uncomfortable the whole time that they were shaping my tooth or when they were fitting the new crown.I definitely think I have found my family's new dentist.

What a great spot. I drive from Greenville to go here. Both Dr. Olsen and Dr. Ayers are excellent. And everyone on staff is really friendly and professional. Highly recommend

Great experience! On my first visit Tiffany did great job with cleaning my teeth. Dr. Ayers is an amazing dentist! I came here because my mom and sister bragged about their experience. Deann at the front desk is awesome as well. Today is my second visit Rebecca did a great job assisting Dr. Ayers today with my fill in and crown. I will definitely be back.

It had been years since I'd stepped foot into a dentist's office. I had a lot going on in my mouth and I was embarrassed that I'd let it come to that point. My hygienist, Tiffany, assured me that she wasn't there to judge and that she would make me feel as comfortable as she possibly could. She kept those promises! Her and Dr. Ayers worked as a team which gave me the confidence that I had discovered the right dental office right in my back yard. The whole staff was courteous and was able to answer the silliest of my questions. It's great to have top notch care in my community!

Praise the lord though for the staff at Lyman Family Dentist because they really did a fantastic job and made me feel safe and secured. Dentist are the last place I ever want to step into but they have completely changed my mind about that. From Deann at the front working with me to get me in last minute to the staff who helped in the process of removing a bad tooth I had and the pain it was causing. I highly and I mean HIGHLY recommend anyone to go to them if you need any dental work done. I will be returning for sure! Thank y'all so much for the wonderful work y'all did.

Throughout my life I've been to many dentists and medical professionals, as well as neurosurgeons. Dr. Ayers and his staff are an anomaly that usually doesn't exist. From the time you walk through the front door at reception and back out the door after your appointment is an exceptionally convenient and professional experience. My daughter was in a major car accident and lucky to survive. We saw a dentist and he knew my daughter was in severe pain., but after 4 days of not returning my calls, we reached out to Lyman Family Dentistry. Dr Heather Wright agreed to see my daughter that same day! on Friday afternoon! She took care of most of her pain that very same day! Special thanks to Dr Wright & Karen. We can't thank you enough.

Best dentist experience I have ever had. Great group of employees that really care. And the Dentist Dr. Ayers is awesome. Let you know everything that needs to be done. No pressure and the price is so reasonable. I finally found a dentist I can stick with and feel comfortable. Even though I'm in so much pain it is worth it
