Dr. Luz-Elena Valencia is originally from Colombia, South America. A graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry, she began practicing in Greenwood shortly after her graduation in 1992. In 2011, her practice was given the honor of Best of Greenwood by the U.S. Commerce Association.
In addition to running her practice, Dr. Valencia is currently the treasurer of the Southside Study Club. Dr. Valencia is also dedicated to continuing her education, usually completing more than the required amount of classes each year. She has completed courses on aesthetic dentistry, implants, oral pathology, dental emergencies, ethics, practice management, and Invisalign, among others.
As an immigrant, Dr. Valencia knows what it is like to transition from one culture to another. Her experience has taught her to be more sensitive towards different cultures and nationalities. She believes in treating patients the way that she would like to be treated. She aims to provide the best professional dental care possible by establishing and addressing each patients individual needs. Dr. Valencia loves having the opportunity to see how her patients become more confident after receiving their new smiles.
When not perfecting your smile, Dr. Valencia enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family.She has three sons. Her oldest son graduated from dental school (IUSD) in 2015 and opened his own practice. Her middle son graduated fromPurdue University in 2016 and moved to Georgia to work as an aeronautical engineer. Her youngest graduated from Marion University with a degree in nursing, and he currently works for St. Francis hospital. She also has 3 beautiful grand-daughters. Together, Dr. Valencia and her family enjoy traveling, snorkeling, and skiing.
I am the financial coordinator and office manager in this practice. I file insurance claims and create treatment plans. If you have any financial questions, I am here to address your concerns and work with your insurance to ensure you receive the necessary dental care. I have been with Dr. Valencia since 2006. I started my dental career as an assistant, so I have clinical experience as well as front office.
My name is Paige Clemons and I am a hygienist here at Dr Valencias. I graduated from the IU school of Dentistry in December of 2020. I started at Dr. Valencias January 2021. I love in here in Greenwood but grew up in Greensburg, IN. Im currently engaged to Alex and we have two dogs, Leo (chocolate lab) and Eva (shepherd mix). I enjoy being outside going on hikes or even kayaking. Ive always enjoyed experiencing new places and restaurants. I would love to be able to travel to all 50 states someday. Dr Valencia is an amazing dentist to work with because she is passionate and driven about her patients. I hope to see my patients progress and be as passionate as I am about oral health.
My name is Estefania Cepedes, and I am a dental assistant here at Dr. Valencias office. I went to Walker Career Center and graduated in 2015. I enjoy working for Dr. Valencia, she is an amazing person and dentist! All of the office staff is amazing as well and I get to learn from everyone here. In my free time I love to be with my two children and family. I hope I get to learn even more and meet new great people at Dr. Valencias.
I am the sterilization tech and training to become a dental assistant. I am 23 and joined Dr. Valencias team in October 2021. Dr. Valencia and my co-workers are very nice and helpful. In my free time I enjoy hiking, eating out, reading, shopping and gardening.

Dr. Valencia very efficiently resolved an area that was repeatedly capturing food and irritating the gum line. I had mentioned this problem area at a prior appointment and today it was resolved. I am a long time patient and appreciate her attention to detail.

Today was my first day as a new patient in Dr. Valencia's office. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist. Everyone was super friendly and professional. The Doctor and dental hygienist were very informative and made sure all of my questions and concerns were answered, as well as getting a plan together for my future visits before I left. Overall the experience was great!

Scheduled an appointment to have a broken tooth extracted. Called the day prior to confirm, only to be told no treatment would be provided and that an evaluation and care plan would be developed and go from there; not to mention the location is an hour drive each way for me. Wish I had known when I scheduled that they weren't planning on any care. I could have already had this taken care of.

I'm really not a dentist person. If you have to go, I recommend this place highly. They are professional, pleasant and explain each step. So, if you're in the Greenwood area give them a shot.

I have been to several different dentist offices but this is by far the best one and why I have been coming here for several years. Amazing staff who are super friendly and informative. Always accommodate for my needs and do an amazing job every time I go. Highly recommend!!

I've never had a bad experience here. They are all friendly and anything I need when I come for a visit is taken care of. Had a visit today and even with them being short staffed I was taken care of in very sufficient timing and treated nicely the whole time.
