Growing up in Colombia, Dr. Yarima Newlin experienced firsthand the necessity of delivering compassionate dental care. She started her journey in Dentistry at the Universidad of Cartagena, Colombia, in 2003. She then transferred to the University of St. Thomas in Houston, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology in 2011. Dr. Newlin completed her dental training at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 2015.
She has furthermore perfected her skills by taking master classes in full Mouth rehabilitation, endodontics, stress-related wear, and aesthetic composite courses in the world-renowned LonDec Institute in London. Dr. Newlin was fortunate enough to gain entrance to the prestigious post-graduate program at Kings College London, where she completed a Master of Science in Aesthetic Dentistry. She gained invaluable knowledge from this institution, currently ranked No. 1 Dentistry program worldwide.
Dr. Newlins thirst for delivering the latest advances in modern dentistry has her on a continuous journey around the world, seeking the newest dental technologies, learning, and self-development. She is currently completing training in implant placement, her fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry, and several other courses aimed at refining her skills in dentistry.
Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Newlin is a foodie and an avid world traveler. She loves collecting anime figurines with her daughter Isabella and playing Roblox with her son Liam. Since Spanish is her native language, Dr. Newlin can relay dental terminology and treatment plans in a clear manner to Spanish-speaking patients. She devotes time to various volunteer opportunities throughout the Greater Houston area and overseas.
Dr. Newlin strongly believes in creating meaningful connections with her patients and providing the latest technology with a conservative approach in restorative treatments. Her love for smile design, cosmetics, and minimally invasive dentistry is infectious, and her patients feel at ease by her down to earth, easy-going personality.
La doctora Newlin empez su carrera en Odontologa en la Universidad de Cartagena en el 2003. En el 2007 se mud a Houston donde termin su B.A. en Biologa de la Universidad de f St. Thomas Houston con ttulo honorario Magna Cum Laude. Termin su entrenamiento de Odontologa/Estomatologa en la University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston en el 2011.
Para profundizar en sus estudios, la doctora Newlin asisti al reconocido Instituto LonDec en el Reino Unido, donde complet certificados en rehabilitacin oral, Endodoncia, y Esttica Dental va resinas. Al mismo tiempo, complet un certificado en Periodoncia por parte del Royal College of Surgeons of England en Londres.
La doctora Newlin fue afortunada de ganar entrada al masters de Esttica Dental de la afamada Universidad Kings College London. Esta experiencia ha probado ser invaluable porque ha reforzado y ampliado su conocimiento en las nuevas tendencias y tecnologas en el campo de la belleza dental.
Cuando no est enfocada en estudiar y proveer un servicio altamente personalizado a sus pacientes, la doctora Newlin pasa su tiempo viajando y probando nuevas comidas. Efficient w kind staff and patient, empathetic doctor who knows what they doing. Very good w explaining what happens so that there are no surprises. Office is modern and cheerful, desk staff will explain cost breakdown with courtesy.

Decided to bring all 5 of my kids here based on location and reviews. Very pleased that I did. Dr and nurses are very nice and professional. My daughter was very anxious, but Dr was accommodating and helped her feel comfortable. Setting appointments was also very easy and flexible.

The dentist, administration and technician are polite, professionals who provide exceptional, expert, efficient service. The office/clinic is clean, the furnishings are comfortable with state of the art equipment. Come once, you will want to return again!!

Dr. Newlin is amazing! Not only did her and her entire staff make my experience, someone who has extremely high anxiety when it comes to the dentist, but she is also fully transparent and honest. In a time when businesses are all about how much money they can bring in, Dr. Newlin provided me with information that could have potentially taken revenue away from her business! I really appreciate her for that. Thank you Dr. Newlin and staff for being such jewels! No getting rid of me now!

Very helpful staff. Walk you through what is going on very thoroughly and treat you quickly! The office is fancy and clean, they even offer complimentary water or coffee. Lastly, can we discuss the fact that they have a tv for you to watch over the chair while they work on your teeth

Having been to multiple dentists in Houston, we've finally found one who is truly passionate about care and patient and not about the money! We've been to multiple dentist where all they want to do is a root canal or a crown and not interested in treating your teeth for truly what it needs. Dr. Newlin is very thorough, honest, and caring. Not only did my daughter receive the best treatment using very high quality products, the studio was very comfortable and clean. My daughter loved the TV screens that kept her entertained while Dr Newlin worked on her. Her equipment was very advance - no shining spot lights in your eyes, no bulky X-ray machines that look daunting. It was very modern and high tech. We will be coming back as we truly enjoyed our visit and results.
