Dr. Ben Lundell was born and raised in Dubuque and joined his father, Dr. Chris, at Lundell and Hoy Dentistry in 2012. Dr. Ben enjoys continuing his dental training through a variety of courses every year. He is passionate about providing the best care possible for his patients and has earned advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign. In his free time Ben enjoys being outside with his family and is an avid runner, competing in both short races and marathon events throughout the year. He has three children, Yeardley, Walker, and Ashe.

Dr. Ellen (Piekenbrock) Hoy was born and raised as a 4th generation Dubuquer. Ellen joined Lundell and Hoy Dentistry in 1997. She enjoys providing modern and compassionate care for all of her patients and has donated hundreds of hours of free dental work with Give Kids a Smile and volunteer dental clinics. When not seeing her patients, Ellen loves to walk, read, and to be involved in the community with various organizations and events. She and her husband, Dr. Stephen Hoy (Dermatologist at Medical Associates), have four children: Patrick, Kalie, Jack, and Natalie.

Dr. Chris Lundell moved to Dubuque and started his practice in 1978 on West 3rd Street. For nearly 40 years, he has enjoyed providing excellent dental care to patients from Dubuque and the surrounding communities. Chris retired from practice ownership in 2017. He and his wife Sue now enjoy traveling and spending more time with his grandkids. He also enjoys tennis, golf, biking, workout out, and reading.

Our Dubuque dental office is off of Asbury Road and is surrounded by beautiful trees in the Pines Professional Park. Our waiting room features a waterfall and a childrens corner, where they can watch movies on headsets. The ten spacious operatories are fitted with digital radiographs, doctor and patient computer monitors, and digital patient records for a modern experience in a relaxing environment.
