Dr. Donley was born and grew up in Muskegon, Michigan. He moved to Detroit for seven years to continue his education and go into the healthcare field. After graduating from theUniversity of Detroit School of Dentistry, he attended a number of seminars on preventive dentistry. During that time, he acquired the philosophy that the professional person has no right to be anything other than a continuous student, and the true professional works in a manner as if to put himself out of business.
His passion to help people be healthier has led to him utilizing advanced treatment for periodontal disease and acquiring the needed education for treating snoring and sleep apnea. This passion to help people be healthier, live longer and have a higher quality of life has also led Dr. Donley to become a member ofPartners in Complete Health, being appointed to theMuskegon County Public Health Advisory Boardand becoming a member of the1 in 21 Healthy Muskegon County group. Becoming board certified in dental sleep medicine is part of his passion
Dr. Donley feels that education of the public and his patients is essential for a healthier population. Among these endeavors was the Doctor Dial telephone recorded message program for dental health early in his career. A little later, he ran a dental information column in the Muskegon Chronicle for several years. He had one of the earliest dental websites if not the first in Muskegon County for education purposes. Within the office, he has always used audio-video programs for patient education. He speaks to groups on some phase of dentistry whenever the opportunity arises. For some time, he participated in the monthly health screening at Sams Club in Muskegon.

As the wife of Dr. Donley, I have been part of the team here since day one. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University. While Dr. Donley was going to dental school, I taught in inner-city Detroit. I have also taught at Whitehall and still work as a tutor.
Together, Dr. Donley and I have three children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy reading and playing word games. I also scrapbook on a regular basis with a group of friends and my daughter.
I like helping team members when they need an extra hand, as well as helping guests who come for treatment. I jump in where I am needed. I clean rooms and take care of instruments, as well as help at the front desk when needed. As a people person, I enjoy making new and returning patients feel welcome, relaxed and like part of our family.
For over 15 years, I have been part of the team at Lumbertown Dental Wellness. I graduated from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I also attended Muskegon Community Collegeand received a certificate in massage therapy.
I have been with the office for over 27 years. I love being able to connect with the patients to improve their health and comfort level when visiting the dentist. We believe in caring for the person and not just their mouth, and it shows.
Alana joined the practice is 2018. She obtained her Associate in Applied Science Dental Hygiene (Cum Laude) from Kellogg Community College, her Bachelor of Applied Science from Sienna Heights University and her Master of Education (M. Cum Laude) from Northcentral University. She loves to travel, read, hike and Yoga. Alana loves the comprehensive care our patients receive and the quality time she is able to spend with her patients. Her advanced training, laser certification and positive attitude make her a valuable addition to the practice.

I cannot express how wonderful this office is! Everyone, from the minute you walk in the door, is kind. They treat you like you are the most important person they will see that day. Dr Donley is someone I would most definitely recommend!

This place is amazing and have already helped me with my teeth 100x better than me going to the other places I have my whole life. They actually show that they care and explain things in terms that you can understand. Awesome to talk to as well just like family/friends!!

This is the best dental office i have ever been to. Everyone working there are very nice and welcoming. For the first time, i had mouth cancer screening, which i didn't even know it's a thing. I loved the fact that they are actually taking their time with you, listen to your concerns and address them, and i never feel rushed and out the door, the way i felt at other dental offices. At my consultation, the doctor talked with me for more than 1 hour and walked me through everything and patiently answered ny thousand questions. I can't say enough good things about them, i just love going there, and if you know me, you would know i don't like going to the dentist. Very happy i found them!

I was in extreme pain from an extraction done elsewhere. I had never been here, and even though it was a Friday before the holiday weekend, they squeezed me in and took care of me! The entire staff is super friendly and caring. I cried I was so thankful for their help. Thank you Dr. Donley!

My experience with Lumbertown Dental Services with Dr. Donley has been excellent along with his staff everything is been great proportional not like you're just trying to push you out the door and get it done they get it done plus very personal... Also I am very scared of Dental appointments. I had a very bad experience. He is very cautious about how me the patient felt. There should be many more dentists like you!!! Thanks GREAT job!

We have loved Lumbertown Dental Wellness and Dr. Donley. He took his time and did a phenomenal job! The hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth! She was very gentle and my teeth felt very clean afterwards! My 2.5 year old daughter had a happy visit there and was very comfortable! I would recommend Dr. Donley and Lumbertown Dental Wellness to anyone and everyone!

Well... they fixed me again!! This place has performed miracles for me When u open the door, you have a warm welcoming committee! Dr. Donley and Pam have taken excellent care of me and my tooth issues for years!! Every time I have a mishap (broken or chipped tooth), Linda says "can you come in today?"! They make TIME for you... and work to find you a solution... then expedite it! Dr. Is gentle to the extreme and Pam is always there to assist. The entire staff is kind, helpful, efficient... and FUN!! We seem to laugh a lot and enjoy the company... even when not feeling our best. I couldn't be happier with a dentist and office. Thank you for your high standards and cleanliness and expertise!

A place you can trust! They've cared for my whole family and we appreciate their experience and extra time they take. I also recommend trying their CPAP alternative. They cover all the bases - including a real sleep study.

Unprofessional and predatory. This office pulls the facade of being wholesome and genuine. I went in for a sleep apnea oral appliance consultation. They reviewed my sleep studies and sold the idea of the mouth piece being the answer. They told me that they required an initial test that insurance didn't cover, but assured me it was worth it. At this point they had my insurance information, but failed to inform me that it was out of network until after I paid $163 out of pocket for this initial test. The day after that test they called me and told me that the oral appliance was not only $3500 but also that my insurance wouldn't cover it because it's out of network. I was completely blown away that they did not disclose this information the first day I walked in and gave them my information. I talked with my husband about it and he was not happy at all either. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we thought maybe they didn't do it intentionally and we'd be able to reason with them and get our money back. They were not willing to work with us at all. The dentist refused to talk with us and left it up to his technician and secretary, which only leaves me to believe it was deliberate. They were completely unprofessional in how they handled it and in the end just kept repeating that they provided a service. The problem is it's a service they should not have provided without first telling me I was out of network. Honestly, I was completely embarrassed that they took advantage of me. They also charge far more than the average cost for an oral appliance. They told me they needed to take x-rays as well and I asked if I could have my dentist send mine in and they told me that they had to take their own. They are money grubbing and they mask it with pretending they need to do all this extra stuff because they are "better than the rest." More like greedier than the rest. I wish I would have been more perceptive going in. Reflecting on it all, there were so many red flags.

Outdated equipment, overpriced, and charges in advance for unusable services. (Specifically Sleep Apnea) After some market research, a $3,500 Mandiblar Device is ~2x the cost. Additionally, not accepting Blue Cross insurance raises a red flag on this facilities technical credentials; they may in fact be out dated, antiquated and expired. Please research your alternatives and get insurances costs upfront as they will not do their due diligence, in my experience. For the owner: A service is only one that is rendered useful to the client. Please rethink your actions and make a positive impact on peoples lives.

I have been with Dr. Donley and his crew for a little while now and I can't begin to express how happy I am with everything! Dr. Donley and his whole team treat you like family from the very first visit. I would recommend them time and time again!!!

I had a dental emergency recently, the pain started the night before New Years Eve, long story short I tried calling everywhere I could think of as far as Detroit, my own dentist in Holland couldn't be bothered, the pain I was feeling was incredible and all encompassing and all I kept hearing was I had to wait 2 more days until Monday. But these guys came in to help me on New Years day, on their day off, on a national holiday! They literally opened the office as I was getting there, they also helped a young boy while I was there. They had the boy in and out of there with nothing but smiles and thanks from his mom. After that they had a really hard job to do with me, but they did it well. Only someone with the experience and knowledge in his field could help get someone through such a painful experience like I had. It was horrible, but they got me through it and on their day's off at that. I couldn't be more thankful and appreciative. So needless to say I highly recommend.

Having moved recently to the area we needed a new dentist. After reading reviews for local dentists we choose Lumberton Dental and are happy for it. The staff are friendly and skilled in their trades and the Dr. is kind and thorough. Very pleased!

Where do I begin? First of all, I am the cowardly lion of cowards, and have always had a fear of going to the dentist. I'm talking tears and hyper ventilating bad! But NOT ANYMORE! Most days, I cannot wait to get back to my next appointment to see what the good doctor has in store for me. One word to describe the Dr and his staff of lovely ladies "GENUINE". As soon as I walk in to see Pam or Lynn's face, I'm greeted with the warmest hellos and friendliest smiles and I'm instantly at ease. They make you feel like you're a part of the family. The relationship between team members is even wonderful to be a part of. They are all a work family and it shows. If you think caring, genuine, and patient staff isn't enough, wait until you meet the Dr. I have the most respect for him. What an educated man. He's taught me so many things about the human body and general health. He is kind and very informative. He loves learning about health in general and it shows through the knowledge he shares. One thing is very clear: he's not in it for the money. I truly Thank God for leading me to Lumber Dental Wellness everytime I walk out of that office. Long story, short. If you're old school like me and are looking for a Dentist that truly CARES about your well being and not what's in your wallet, or constantly checking a clock to move onto the next appointment, you need to make an appointment with this office TODAY!!
