Dr. Donley was born and grew up in Muskegon, Michigan. He moved to Detroit for seven years to continue his education and go into the healthcare field. After graduating from theUniversity of Detroit School of Dentistry, he attended a number of seminars on preventive dentistry. During that time, he acquired the philosophy that the professional person has no right to be anything other than a continuous student, and the true professional works in a manner as if to put himself out of business.
His passion to help people be healthier has led to him utilizing advanced treatment for periodontal disease and acquiring the needed education for treating snoring and sleep apnea. This passion to help people be healthier, live longer and have a higher quality of life has also led Dr. Donley to become a member ofPartners in Complete Health, being appointed to theMuskegon County Public Health Advisory Boardand becoming a member of the1 in 21 Healthy Muskegon County group. Dr. Donley feels that education of the public and his patients is essential for a healthier population. Among these endeavors was the Doctor Dial telephone recorded message program for dental health early in his career. A little later, he ran a dental information column in the Muskegon Chronicle for several years. He had one of the earliest dental websites if not the first in Muskegon County for education purposes. Within the office, he has always used audio-video programs for patient education. He speaks to groups on some phase of dentistry whenever the opportunity arises. For some time, he participated in the monthly health screening at Sams Club in Muskegon.

As the wife of Dr. Donley, I have been part of the team here since day one. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University. While Dr. Donley was going to dental school, I taught in inner-city Detroit. I have also taught at Whitehall and still work as a tutor.
Together, Dr. Donley and I have three children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy reading and playing word games. I also scrapbook on a regular basis with a group of friends and my daughter.
I like helping team members when they need an extra hand, as well as helping guests who come for treatment. I jump in where I am needed. I clean rooms and take care of instruments, as well as help at the front desk when needed. As a people person, I enjoy making new and returning patients feel welcome, relaxed and like part of our family.
For over 15 years, I have been part of the team at Lumbertown Dental Wellness. I graduated from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I also attended Muskegon Community Collegeand received a certificate in massage therapy.
I have been with the office for over 27 years. I love being able to connect with the patients to improve their health and comfort level when visiting the dentist. We believe in caring for the person and not just their mouth, and it shows.
Alana joined the practice is 2018. She obtained her Associate in Applied Science Dental Hygiene (Cum Laude) from Kellogg Community College, her Bachelor of Applied Science from Sienna Heights University and her Master of Education (M. Cum Laude) from Northcentral University. She loves to travel, read, hike and Yoga. Alana loves the comprehensive care our patients receive and the quality time she is able to spend with her patients. Her advanced training, laser certification and positive attitude make her a valuable addition to the practice.
