Dr. Luke Iwata is a broadly trained general and cosmetic dentist with more than 30 years of experience. He received his dental degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Iwata is certified by Nobel BioCare to place and restore dental implants. He is also a Past President of the Tri-County Dental Society and a Fellow of the American and International Colleges of Dentists. Throughout your life, you will have two sets of teeth: primary (baby) teeth and secondary (permanent) teeth. At age 6-8 months, the primary teeth appear; all 20 are in place by age 3.Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth. This is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp 'fang-like' teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is vital that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

Best dentist I have ever gone to. I have gone to other dentists and once I open my mouth they compliment the work that Iwata has done for me. That says a lot. The staff are so kind here, and you can tell they really care about you. Feels like I'm seeing family when I come here! I've gone to other dentists and they have done more work than what is necessary, and then I come running back to Iwata, because I know he will take care of me and do high quality work.

I have been a patient here for years, and I have to say that Dr. Iwata is outstanding and has created an atmosphere and an office culture that is welcoming, warm, friendly and professionals striving for perfection in Dentistry. I have been going to Dr Iwata for 20 years and there is not a more caring, finer dentist anywhere. His staff is super friendly and helpful. They have worked with me when my finances were not great and I was very blessed to have found their office so long ago.
