Dr. Luis Calixto, DDS is a longtime practitioner of dentistry, graduating from the Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexico with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1986. He continued his business as a local dentist until 1993, when he moved to California to further his career in the high-population area of Southern California. In 2001, Dr. Calixto founded Beautiful Smile Dentistry inside an office located in a scenic area between San Diegos Rolando Village and College East districts.

Just got three teeth pulled and I hardly have any pain! I would like to thank them all! The staff was great and the doctor very professional.I'm a happy camper

Two happy patients here! Amazing staff and excellent Doctor! I am very picky when it comes to kids teeth and of course mine. I highly recommend this place.

Had a wonderful experience, this is my second time here. Was greeted with respect and kindness. Procedures were done with all care and tenderness. Can't say I'm disappointed, well except for those waiting chairs there not the most comfortable. Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. That's the golden rule. I come in with a beautiful smile and leave with a beautiful smile.

Had a wonderful experience, this is my second time here. Was greeted with respect and kindness. Procedures were done with all care and tenderness. Can't say I'm disappointed, well except for those waiting chairs there not the most comfortable. Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. That's the golden rule. Be careful with the staff. They touch everything with gloves on when Dr. Calixto is doing a procedure on your mouth. Staff seem to not know about infection control (standard precautions) to protect patients. I told Dr. Calixto about it and he seemed to not care and he turned away like he never heard what I said. Remind them to use new gloves if they leave to another room to get something for the doc, you don't know what surfaces their gloves touched when they go to the other room.

Wonderful staff and I got 2 wisdom teeth pulled a root canal and a deep cleaning .. I DIDN'T FEEL ANYTHING.. MUSIC WAS NICE WHOLE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL .. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND .

Horrible wisdom tooth extraction on the upper left side, I felt all the pain from my wisdom tooth being pulled out from my gums, my eyes began to water and my heart rate skyrocketed. There was not enough anesthesia to numb the gums. I had to tell the dentist to stop during the extraction. I have never been nervous going to the dentist even as a young child however, once the doctor came back to prepare to finish the extraction I was terrified due to the trauma from the first attempt. NO empathy from the doctor. If you have Denti-Cal Insurance, please do your research and pick another dentist location.

Horrible wisdom tooth extraction on the upper left side, I felt all the pain from my wisdom tooth being pulled out from my gums, my eyes began to water and my heart rate skyrocketed. There was not enough anesthesia to numb the gums. I had to tell the dentist to stop during the extraction. Asked for an emergency appointment because my tooth started hurting and the receptionist was rude and not helpful. She stated there was no appointment and even after I asked her to ask the dentist if he could see me she refused and hung up on me. I'm very disappointed
