DR M saved my tooth with a root canal. The equipment he uses is pretty high tech, and the technique is quick and painless and effective. Root canals are his specialty I think. He does a great job.

I spent 1 hour and 15 minutes with Mesdag and he charged me $2050. He never advised me in advance of what the fees would be which is contrary to Dentist's code of ethics. I would not recommend this dentist.

First and foremost, Dr. Mesdag's treatment was top notch!! My opinion of how the office staff communicates any billing issues is not as great. I asked at the very start how much the treatment would cost and what I was told was NOT the case. Furthermore, I only find it fair to inform Premera BCBS insurance holders that Dr. Mesdag is NOT in network, even though the Premera web site states such. You WILL be balanced billed any amount above and beyond the usual and customary costs. Again, with that being said, if I would have been told the billing facts upfront, this would be a five star review, as Dr. Mesdag is the best I have seen to date!!!

Dr. Mesdag is a thorough and competent endodontist, trained in the latest techniques and materials. We are lucky to have him here in Juneau.
