Dr. Gilliam was born in Boulder, Colorado but was raised in the wonderful community of Lubbock, Texas where his father was a college professor at Texas Tech University. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech and then later went to Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from Baylor, he went on to pursue and earn his Certificate of Periodontics at LSU School of Dentistry. In 1980 Dr. Gilliam was a General Dentist in Hereford, TX before moving to Lubbock to open up his private practice where he has been since 1985.
His area of expertise is in laser periodontal therapy as well as soft grafting procedures. He enjoys helping patients enjoy their teeth while in comfort for a lifetime. Dr. Gilliam has been married to Tonya for 40 years and they have three children, Vanessa, Nathan and Brooke. He is also blessed with 7 grandchildren. When not working, Dr. Gilliam enjoys hiking, fishing, and skiing, especially in southern Colorado.
Dr. Mattlage was born in Quanah, Texas but spent most of his life in Roswell, New Mexico. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and then later attended dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He completed his periodontal training at Baylor then moved back to his hometown of Roswell where he opened his private practice in 1982. For 32 years he served as a periodontist in the surrounding areas of southeastern New Mexico before moving to Lubbock in 2014. Dr. Mattlage specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease utilizing the latest laser technology. He enjoys working with his patients, referring dentists and his wonderful staff.
Dr. Mattlage is married to his wife, Tina, and they have 2 children, Meredith and Aaron who are both married. He also is a proud grandfather of 2 that he enjoys spending as much time as possible with. When he isnt working, Dr. Mattlage enjoys involvement at his local church, watching Texas Tech athletic events, golfing and traveling with his friends and family.
Dr. Maupin was raised in Artesia, New Mexico. After high school, he attended college at Lubbock Christian University where he received a degree in Business Administration. From there Dr. Maupin attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He returned home to southeastern New Mexico and opened a dental practice in Roswell in 2005. Shortly after opening, Dr Maupin enrolled at the Misch International Implant Institute and completed the surgical continuum in dental implants.
He received his fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2010. Dr. Maupin now enjoys returning to West Texas to place dental implants at the Lubbock Dental Implant Center. Dr Maupin is married to Elizabeth and has 2 sons, McClain and Bradford. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing sports, and reading.
Dr. Brown was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. He later attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City dental school where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Brown was also trained at the Misch International Implant Institute in complex implant placement, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, and extraction of impacted teeth.
He also received specialized training to accommodate esthetic needs through full mouth crown and veneer cases, as well as help those with occlusion discrepancies through complete oral rehabilitation. Dr. Brown is excited to serve the Lubbock community and surrounding areas with the placement of dental implants. Dr. Brown is married and his wife Kacy also attended Texas Tech University. They have a daughter Landry and two sons Drake and Ridge. He enjoys large and small game hunting, fly-fishing, and enjoys time in the outdoors. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling. David is a volunteer at the United Way and appreciates the opportunity to give back.
Dr. Tim Price grew up in Brigham City, UT. After high school he attended Utah State University where he ran track and earned a degree in Environmental Health. He then earned his Masters Degree in Public Health at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He later attended The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After Dental School he continued his education at UMKC by attending an Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Highly recommend Lubbock Dental Implants. Dr. Brown and his assistant took the time to explain things to me. Front desk staff is very nice. Like the reminders they send. Will be getting more Implants done this year.
