Our office provides a full range of advanced orthodontic services for adults and children. We have a special interest in interceptive orthodontic treatment, which involves taking a comprehensive approach at an early age (seven to nine years) and includes treating jaw growth problems to improve optimal facial development.
We work closely with your general dentist, pediatric dentist, oral surgeon, periodontist, endodontist, primary health care provider, allergist, and ear, nose and throat doctors to ensure that you receive the best comprehensive care possible. As orthodontic specialists, we are concerned not only with teeth, but with the growth, health, and well-being of each patient. We also have an amazing team of are licensed Certified Dental Assistants to take care of our patients during their treatment.
Dr. Michael Lozman and Dr. Robin Lozman believe that everyone can have an attractive smile, no matter what their age. Thirty-five percent of our patients are adults between the ages of 18 and 70. We offer clear ceramic braces, which are barely noticeable, and Invisalign, which uses clear aligners to straighten the teeth. We are sensitive to the concerns and special needs of the adult patient and work closely to make the experience as comfortable and flexible as possible.
We strive to keep our office on the forefront of the latest technology, including digital radiography. Because our primary concern is our patients health, safety, and peace of mind, our computerized X-ray system significantly reduces radiation compared to conventional x-ray machines. We regularly attend continuing education seminars and continually reinvest in the practice, incorporating the latest and most effective equipment and treatment. Our specially trained team will help you obtain information regarding your insurance coverage. We do accept insurance assignments and will help you fill out the paperwork your insurance company may require. We will attempt to develop a payment plan that fits into your monthly budget because we believe that orthodontic treatment should be available to everyone.
Dr. Michael Lozman and Dr. Robin Lozman have been providing superior orthodontic care to the Albany community for more than 40 years. In 1997, Dr. Michael Lozman brought his daughter, Dr. Robin Lozman, into the practice as a partner. Both doctors have received awards for their commitment and excellence in the field of orthodontics. They have a strong dedication to their patients, as well as to their community.
Dr. Robin Lozmanreceived her Bachelor of Science degree in pre-dental studies, and her Master of Science in Education in a dual-degree program fromEmory University. She went on to theUniversity of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, to complete her DMD, and from there went to theEastman Dental Centerin Rochester to earn her Certificate in Orthodontics in 1997. Since then, she has been practicing in Latham, NY, with her father, with an emphasis in orthognathic surgery associated with orthodontics, early treatment, cleft palate, and Invisalign. She strives to provide personalized, individual care to all her patients.
Dr. Lozmanalso keeps busy as a member of theAmerican Association of Orthodontists, theAmerican Dental Association, and the Third District Dental Society for the state of New York. She frequently writes articles for news publications regarding oral health care and orthodontics.
Dr. Michael Lozman graduated fromWilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, with a degree in psychology. He received his dental degree fromFairleigh Dickenson UniversitySchool of Dentistry in Hackensack, New Jersey, his dental residency at Jewish Chronic Disease Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and his orthodontic specialty training at New York University, Graduate Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Lozman has been in orthodontic specialty practice since 1971. He also has licenses in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. In addition, he was an associate clinical professor in the Graduate Department of Orthodontics at New York University School of Dentistry, where he taught part time from 1992 until 1998.

My teeth are crowded and I could not bite well. I came to see Dr. Michael and Dr. Robin Lozman 10 months ago. I had such a wonderful experience with them. They are very caring, compassionate and experienced, step by step, over the course of treatment, my teeth improved and I feel much happier. The staff are also very kind and welcoming and makes me less worried when going there. The dental assistants there are also very comforting (I have seen a few of them who helped me). The whole place is very patient-friendly. So far it has been a very good experience. I am very grateful to them.

My daughter started her journey to a new smile about 1 year ago at Lozman orthodontics. You think to yourself one year is not that much time and in this past year Dr. Robin, Dr. Michael and their entire staff have been notbing but kind, compassionate, trustworthy, and caring. Not only is my daughter happy with her progress but she is so comfortable coming to the office. I can not thank Lozmans enough for what they have done and continue to do. Thank you.

Save your self time money and headache and find a practice that uses Damon braces. This practice left my daughter with misaligned teeth after two years +. Was fixed by a professional using Damon braces,. Thankfully didn't continue with my son at this outdated practice.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Robin Lozman and her father's excellent work and their friendly staff. They are a great group of people. I would highly recommend Drs. Lozman to anyone! Their office has beautiful surroundings and it was an enjoyment to see the views through the big windows while get the treatments.

Drs. Lozman and their team did wonders for my kids' teeth. One of my kids had extremely complicated issues. Today, she has a gorgeous smile thanks to their expertise and caring, and her brother does too. The whole team made the experience better, very professional and gentle. Highly recommended.

I thank Dr.Lozman for giving me a beautiful smile, and a beautiful life. It has been four years since I had gotten my braces off. I am looking back to the five to six years I had braces, and I have to say that I "enjoyed the process." Out of the many things he said ", your smile can fix anything" was the most useful advice. It is so true! Although, I do remember this one woman, who was nice for the most part, responded very sarcastically. I requested to have white bands on my braces and she said something along the lines of " I have clear." It was how she said it.

I am a 23 year old woman and I needed to align my teeth as my teeth were only touching in 2 places and my dentist thought those teeth might break if the pressure wasnt more evenly distributed. I worked with with Dr. Lozman and she was phenomenal. She adressed all of my concerns and made sure I was well informed. I ended up getting invisalign and it worked like a charm. 18 trays later and my teeth have never looked better. She was even suprised at how well it turned out! The whole staff at this office are very kind and helpful and I felt well taken care of the whole time. I highly recommend this office to people of all ages.

This place is great! I find myself recommend them when ever someone says they need a orthodontist! I've gone in to see a few dentist for cleanings and check ups only for them to tell me ( They have never seen work that looks this good! They ask (Who did the work?) I started my journey with Lozman Orthodontics in November 2017 and just got my braces off September 2020. I had a very positive experience during my time. My initial consultation was very informative regarding options I could take. No pressure whatsoever about getting braces, doctors were just happy to answer any questions and give me the options I needed to make my own decision! I had a good feeling about this practice so I decided to give it a go!! We were able to do a payment plan that worked for me and the rest was history. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Lozman and Dr. Robin Lozman and their well trained, devoted long term dental assistants. The office staff and people at the front end are so warm and welcoming as well! They make you feel right at home from the very beginning and if there were any problems along the way, they did their best to get me right in! Dr. Michael Lozman is such a kind, soft spoken, caring individual who truly wants you to have the most beautiful smile and wear it with confidence! I started my Invisalign treatment here in July 2018. I was an extreme case, in my opinion but the Lozman's didn't see it that way. They knew just how to fix my teeth. Two years later, they are literally the reason I am always smiling ear to ear. I have never felt more confident and beautiful in my entire life and I have Lozman Orthodontics to thank for that.
