For over 20 years, Dr. Gerald Loyacona has provided state-of-the-art orthodontic care with an emphasis on patient experience. He is dedicated to his patients, and strives to give them the most comfortable, attentive care possible while creating truly beautiful smiles.
Dr. Loyacona is a graduate of St. Vincent College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He served his three-year residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in the Departments of Orthodontics. Dr. Loyacona is a certified orthodontist and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
The field of orthodontics is constantly changing as technology advances and more people realize the importance of having straight teeth and a proper bite. In order to stay on-top of the latest technology, and to continue offering his patients the best care possible, Dr. Loyacona participates in many forms of continuing education.

This dentist is literal trash. He told me to shut up and than hung up on me when the point he was trying to get across was never made because I have legal documents he is going against. This office does not do record checks and allows anyone to make appointments. So you're child could be kidnapped and the kidnapper can make appointments without your knowledge. And he literally seen a sick patient today after I called and had the appointment canceled. Allowed him to be seen by a non family member and he was sick and never tested for covid. His staff is extremely rude and disrespectful, they violated several hippa laws in the process as well.

So far so good, ( : My child loves coming here! When she got her braces she stated that it didn't hurt and she was just a little sore for four days after, and is very proud to have them. The staff is amazing and so polite. The waiting room is clean and sometimes they set up a raffle prize drawling so the kids feel they have a chance to win a small gift. Parents/parent remains in the waiting room or in their vehicle until the child/children are done, when the dentist is done, then they call the parent back to go over everything. You can request to speak to the dentist before your child goes back as well... Could use some good entertainment like some read worthy magazines in the waiting room or a TV to keep the adults occupied, especially if the waiting period is 45 mins to an hour, or longer depending on how many patients are seen that day lol just a suggestion...

My daughter had her braces removed in August. I wasn't allowed to be inside the building due to their Covid precautions. While not present, and without my permission, they cemented a wire to my daughter's bottom teeth. They never spoke to me about this prior to her removal, so I never had the chance to object. As a matter of fact, I only spoke with the orthodontist maybe 3 times throughout the 2 years she had braces -- 1 of those times being her consultation. He didn't even bother to speak to me after I was called to come in after her braces were removed. My daughter's teeth are now moving 2 months after having her braces removed. I never had the option to research this type of retainer nor did I ever consent to having a permanent (and ineffective) retainer placed in my child's mouth. Dr. Loyacona cares about what is in his wallet and that's about it.

I called them about getting replacement retainers because my dog ate them, I talked to a receptionist took down my name but never called back I called again and they had no idea what I was talking about needless to say my teeth shifted so thanks

I first became a patient of Dr Loyacona when I was myself in middle school ( That was a while ago lol) .. since then he has provided treatment to two of my daughters and there will be two more to come! Dr Loyacona and his staff have always been professional, caring, and gentle. They always make time for you should you need to an appointment or have any questions with your treatment. I would highly recommend him!

Dr Loyacona and the staff are absolutely amazing!! My daughter has had her braces for a little over a year to correct a stage 3 underbite and the progress she has made so far is unbelievable. Highly recommend Dr Loyacona!!

The office has a soft apostrophe. The ladies at the front desk are very professional and they are very kind. There is never any long waits and they are prompt about your visits. Kudos

I read some reviews about the receptionists - which I too experienced, at times - but it was totally worth dealing with them in order to receive the experience, service, and care from the doctor and his team. I have family and friends, who chose other orthodontists, who will comment on how well my teeth turned out!

Called to schedule an appointment, was immediately greeted by a gruff, grumpy sounding woman(Dorothy). I explained we had been I'll and needed to reschedule. During the entire call she was very annoyed sounding. Extremely unfriendly . Not at all professional. P.s. she did call me back to let me know she was the only one at the office, AFTER I requested to speak to someone else.

Son had his braces put on here..The staff was friendly..never seen a mean person there Dorothy was always nice to me ... some folks have bad days just like us..Overall I like what they did for my son...and that is the main I was there and they did a good job!
