Dr. Phillip Lowder is originally from Rigby. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Dr. Lowder completed a residency at the University of Utah Hospital. His training included treatment of medically compromised patients and a variety of surgical procedures.
He continued to practice general dentistry in Ketchum. There, he developed his interest and skills in the art and science of a beautiful smile with cosmetic dentistry. His passion for a great smile and improved bite drove him to complete three additional years of orthodontic specialty training in order to obtain aMaster of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics degree.
Dr. Lowder provides a variety of orthodontic techniques with the latest technology for treatment of children and adults with your overall health in mind. His goal is to make your orthodontic experience comfortable, fun, and affordable.
Lowder Orthodontics is dedicated to providing a thoroughly modern care experience. We use only the most up-to-date, comfort-oriented orthodontic technology for the benefit of our patients in their daily lives. We use cosmetically appealing braces and aligners for patients of all ages and the latest imaging technology. We even have an attentive, after-braces care plan that keeps teeth looking and feeling great.
We know how important efficiency and expertise is to our patients, which is why our orthodontist and staff regularly attend training programs to keep their skills at their best. We also make sure to provide a fun, relaxing atmosphere for all our patients, from kids to grownups. We invite our visitors to enjoy our in-office TV and play our wall-mounted video games.

The treatment plan was clearly explained so I could understand what they plan to do and why which is so helpful. I was also provided with tips and tricks to help prevent further movement of teeth. The staff is so kind and friendly! Definitely wouldn't take my kids anywhere else!

Best orthodontist practice in town. Very friendly and considerate. Overall service was amazing. I went in to get retainers made and they made the process so easy and efficient. Highly recommend.

I got my braces on when I was in high school. I got my braces off in 2016. Recently I called because I had a broken permanent retainer. They were so nice and amazing at helping me to get a quote for the problem. I also got online to see my before and after pictures and as a kid I don't think I appreciated it enough. WOW! They really did do miracles on my teeth. Dr. Lowder is amazing!! I didn't think they were that bad of teeth but now I can honestly say it's amazing the difference! And it was affordable with payment plans. 10/10 would recommend Dr. Lowders office.

We are very impressed with Dr. Lowder. He takes the time to thoroughly explain the plan of treatment. Staff is always so friendly and kind. We visited over five offices from St. Anthony to Idaho Falls for our initial consultation. Dr. Lowder, earned my trust from that first consultation. If you're in search for a great orthodontist, this is the place.

We've had a few different orthodontists during the years we've raised our family, and Dr. Lowder is the best. He does a great job of explaining things throughout the process, gives recommendations in a kind and clear way, and really knows what he is doing. Also, his assistants do excellent work, and the secretaries are the sweetest people! I've been 100% impressed by the professionalism and service. Thanks to Lowder Orthodontics for great treatment!
