Dr. Leroy Loving, Jr. is a dual degree Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who is licensed in dentistry & Medicine. Dr. Loving is committed to quality care for his patients and has dedicated 34 years to his successful private practice located in Decatur, Georgia.
Dr. Leroy Loving, Jr. opened his private practice doors in 1979 as an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Math & Chemistry from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA. There he served as President of the Science Club, Beta Beta Beta Honor Society.
He then attended Howard University in Washington D.C. an earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. There he served as President of Student National Dental Society. He also received the Mosby Book Scholarship Award, Oral Pathology Award and the Oral Surgery Award. He also completed a Residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University.
After practicing Oral & Maxillofaical Surgery for over 14 years, he enrolled at University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree. He also completed a one year General Surgery Residency at Georgia Baptist Hospital known now as Atlanta Medical Center.
Dr. Leroy Loving, Jr. has been a faithful member of Cascade United Methodist Church since July 1979, where he serves on the mens usher board. Additional, he is a founding member of the churchs Health Ministry. He also finds time to serve the community as a member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta for more than 21 years and a Lifetime Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

I had a wisdom tooth extracted years ago and I was horrified when I arrived because I never had a tooth removed. I anticipated getting the laughing gas but his assistant advised I would not need it. He promised it would be a good experience and no pain. Dr. Loving extracted my tooth with me feeling just a little pressure and no pain at all. I was amazed!!! I was referred by dentist office to Dr. Loving. Please visit if you need extractions.

My daughter walked out into the reception area trying to smile. She was able to mumble to me that Dr.Loving was AMAZING! Her surgery was 8 hours ago. She is resting comfortably with no pain and minimal swelling. Thank you Dr.Loving and your wonderful staff for taking the "scary" out of oral surgery!

Excellent dentist and staff. Literally pulled my problem in two minutes with no discomfort. Reminds me of the dentists back in the day that could do it all well. Staff is extremely personable and warm. If you want your issue resolved or have been having problems with a tooth don't delay. Best dentist by far!

I had a High Risk oral surgery that I needed to have. I spoke with 2 Surgeons. Dr. Loving came highly referred by multiple people who didn't know each other. I TOTALLY suggest and Highly Recommend that you unequivocally choose Dr. Loving like I did. Experience matters and I can't thank God and Dr. Loving enough for the Surgical Miracle that Was Performed! He has excellent surgical skill set accompanied with Kind Customer Service Manners. His Team was Great too...His Assistant was my Angel helping to calm fears arising. I again, Definitely Recommend Dr. Loving and his Team!

I went to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed. The dental assistant came in with relaxing conversation and introduced himself. He asked me health questions and did my vitals. When Dr. Loving came in, he introduced himself and explained the procedure independently. Dr. Loving recommend against removing one of them and explained why. Dr. Loving went over my x-rays and during the procedure talked constantly asked if I was OK or feeling any pain. He also let me know when he was finished. I would say the entire process was great. He's an Awesome Ora Surgeon and the staff was great A very inviting atmosphere. I would recommend.

I went to Dr. Loving's office under referral of a general dentist not knowing what to fully expect but boy when I got there it was not like any experience I had ever had having dental phobia like a lot of us do let me tell Dr. Loving and his staff are the bomb you hear me they make you feel comfortable, calm and at ease. Dr. Loving is patient, kind, has a very good listening quality he has a calming spirit and it makes you feel at ease and you know everything will be alright. He extracted 4 teeth including 2 wisdom teeth and I didn't know they were out. If you have dental anxiety don't neglect going to the dentist go to Dr. Leroy Loving you won't regret it I know I don't.

So originally I had an appointment November 12 . They called November 11 at 4:30 and said Dr.Loving got sick and can not see you. I definitely understand because we are in an pandemic. The receptionist continued but was rude and explained can I call back another day because she was trying to leave. I ended up calling the following day only to get an appointment 1 month out. I had two impacted wisdom teeth that were giving me extreme pain. After I called around I soon realized every dentist was pretty much saying around the same date . I never received any instructions on " what to do before "surgery. I got a time and date. In today November 12 . The receptionist Was a little nice but wasn't as helpful. Dr Loving and his assistant were way nicer than his staff. His equipment was outdated but you can tell he does care about his patients . I give it a 3 cause his staff

I am a BIG BABY at 57 years old!! I don't go to the dentist unless absolutely necessary!! Well I had a tooth impacted and a new friend knew of this caring Doctor and SHE made my appointment (LOL) I reluctantly went and had tears in my eyes in preparation for my surgery ...... the assistant (sorry forgot his name) was VERY nice and calming (but tears continued to flow) When Dr Loving came in his whole demeanor immediately put me at ease...... I felt his years of experience and just believed I was in good hands!! They immediately went to work and we ended up removing TWO teeth!! I'm home now and must say if I need, I will return to Dr Loving practice and tell others!!!
