What is the Learning Lab? Our Hands-On Learning Lab is a place where children can come to learn about their teeth, total body health, nutrition and dentistry in a fun, age-appropriate manner. There will be discussion, instruction and hands-on activities provided. Exploring dentistry and oral health in this manner allows children to develop beliefs, skills and behaviors that support lifetime of dental health.

Phase 3: Exam & Cleaning The last step will also involve an exam and cleaning. Our hygienists will remove any remaining plaque or tarter present following which the doctor will come in to examine the teeth.

In todays world kids are growing up with technology in their hands, and because of this, what may have worked to educate past generations may not work very well for kids now. We believe brains are not wired well for the traditional 'teach and tell' model used in dentistry and therefore, hands-on learning for kids is our future. Our hands-on learning approach is to mentor each child one-on-one, allowing us to learn where he or she is developmentally and take one step forward in their journey toward better health.

It is difficult for children to learn by lecture. Most children learn best when they think about, try out and experience things! The facilitation model shifts the focus from what we know to what the child knows and is curious about. It is about assisting self-discovery through experiential learning about the child's personal health. We are creating learning experiences that stick. With children we have the greatest opportunity to participate in creating a lifetime of good dental health. We hope to shape their attitudes and beliefs not only about dental health but also health in general. We have created a safe environment for children to develop their curiosity and enjoy learning where they can have interactions about health that are positive and affirming rather than critical and punitive. We want to help children take responsibility for their own health and be able to ask their parents for support. We have found that working with children and their parents in this way, the adults also learn to care for their own mouths in the process.

Loveland Family Dentistry - General dentist in Loveland, CO

We want to change how children feel about dentistry by creating an environment where children can be introduced to dental health in a new way. In our hands-on learning lab, children can play, observe, discover, learn and explore all aspects of dentistry and oral health.

It is important to us that you receive all the dental care you need. We offer a wide range of services, from routine dentistry to more complex treatments, with a focus on your total health and lasting wellness. With this comprehensive, total-health approach, we make it easy for the whole family to receive exceptional, lifelong care.

Worst Dentist ever. Called on a Friday and asked about my insurance. Front desk said that they would accept my minimum coverage insurance. When I had already gotten time off of work and arrived they denied my insurance. Extremely upset with these people. Save yourself some time and find another Dentist.

I have been coming here since before Dr Krause. I have never had a bad experience. All of the staff have treated me with respect and Dr Krause is awesome. Her and I have been through a lot in my mouth. She is very through and explains everything so that you as the patient understands what will be happening. It is great getting to know all of them. Wow!! What an amazing experience! Every single staff member was experienced, kind, and professional. I want to say Angela at the front desk, was so friendly and accommodating. Robin cleaned my teeth very gently, and I had build up for sure! My old dentist retired and I never thought I could find another great did, but lucky me I did! Great job ladies!

To preface, One star is being overly generous. If the option of 0 stars was available I of course would have selected it...so Loveland Family Dentistry(specifically Angela and Dr. K herself) You're Welcome! Last Friday, after his appt., my boyfriend pre-paid for the work they said he needed. We went to his appt today and AFTER they started the work, Dr. Krause tried to sneak into the conversation that the bill was now going to be $100 more. She said it was no big deal and we would discuss when she was done. Of course she did not offer to go over the new x-rays she had just taken that had this new evidence. (Remember, he was just there 3 day's ago so I guess teeth really get bad fast when the dentist buys a new car.) lol We asked for a minute to discuss it and we looked up some information about dentists and found that there were a few red flags. We asked her to see the xrays, she responded with "do you even know how to read X-rays?" Then kept going on about how it wasn't her fault. We realized pretty quickly that she wasn't going to go over the patient plan and explain the extra $100 so we told them we would like to opt out of the work and asked for the money back that he had prepaid with 3 days prior. First, Angela said she would go get the money, but upon her return she said they would send us a check. Knowing that, we would never see the money if we left without it today, we politely insisted that they refund us before we left. This angered Angela and she said she would call the police if we didn't leave. As we were opposing no threat, we just acknowledged that she may call the police and told her that we would wait in the front lobby until she brought the money back. She yelled at us and stared glaring, then finally suggested that she would "ask Dr Krause to get the money from her very own purse." I thought his was an excellent idea since that was exactly where the money went in the first place. Awhile later she cane back and without a word, she opened the front door and held an envelope out the door, telling us to leave (without seeing what was in the envelope of course) I attempted rebuttal and before I could get the sentence out, she was shoving my boyfriend out the door and had pulled her arm back in attempt to punch him. He was able to move quickly enough to miss the receptionists flimsy fist but we were absolutely shocked at how this all played out. Okay, so word to the wise... Ask your dentist questions and if they don't answer in a way that explains what's going on, don't be afraid to keep asking until they do. If they do not go over your patient plan with you including xrays, mental note a red flag and pay attention to what is going on because it's easy to be tricked when you place trust in an untrustworthy individual. Another red flag is when they change the price as they are doing the work or get you in the door with a free or low low cost initial exam, then tell you that you need a bunch of work. Finally, if they ask you to pay in advance it is most likely so that when they raise the price at your next appt, it won't seem as much because you already paid most of it. #saynotodentistswithoutethics
