With over 30 years of experience in the dental/orthodontic field, Lisa is a board certified dental and orthodontic assistant with an expanded functions certification in orthodontics. Lisa is also certified in CPR, infection control and dental radiology. She loves spending time with her family they are her world. She has two beautiful kids, one of whom recently got married, and an adorable shih tzu named Hershey. Lisa really enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and pretty much any outdoor sport. She also loves cooking and trying new recipes.
Has been in the orthodontic field for over 20 years and has a mastery certification in dental assisting and an expanded functions certification in orthodontics. She is also CPR certified. Jennifer is our Treatment Coordinator and Insurance Specialist. She loves spending time at the lake and traveling with her husband as well ashiking and going to concerts. Love Orthodontics prides itself on being able to offer our patients every available option for braces. Not all orthodontists are prepared to do this. Dr. Grewal has undergone hundreds of hours of additional training in order to meet all of our patients needs. We offer a professional assessment and treatment plan specifically for your individual needs (or your childs) and its completely free of charge. Options include:
Traditional braces are made out of stainless steel and titanium. These are probably what comes to mind when you think of traditional braces, However, nowadays they are smaller, flatter, and more lightweight. They cover less tooth surface than the old-school braces and are less irritating to the mouth.
A small bracket is bonded to each tooth and a dental wire (also called an archwire) is used to connect the brackets together. O-rings (similar to tiny rubber bands) are used to attach the archwire to the brackets. Adjustments are made to the positioning of the archwire in order to slowly move teeth into the correct position.
Lingual braces are completely invisible because they are placed on the back of the teeth rather than the front. This is a common option chosen by adults because no one will ever know that you are wearing braces! The brackets are smaller than regular braces since theyre placed on the back of the teeth. They can be used in most cases except for those with severe bite issues (which would cause them to break off).

Self-ligating braces are similar to traditional metal ones except that O-rings are not needed. The brackets that are attached to teeth are smaller, smoother, and contain a small clip that the archwire is threaded through. Because the wire can be held in place by the clip, O-rings arent necessary. Because there isnt any friction or stop to slow the arch wires movement, teeth are able to move faster with less pressure than traditional braces.
I had 3 different consultants with 3 different orthodontists and Dr. Avtar Grewal was the most caring person Ive ever met. Invisalign offers a different concept entirely for straightening teeth. They are clear, plastic aligners that are molded to fit perfectly over your teeth. All of your aligners will be pre-made when you start your treatment and are switched out every few weeks. Each aligner is engineered by Dr. Grewal to slowly move teeth into their correct position as they are changed out.
Invisalign braces are almost invisible. Traditional types of braces have some dietary restrictions such as avoiding chewy or hard foods which may damage the hardware. However, because Invisalign braces are removed for eating and drinking, you can still eat whatever you want. They are also removed for brushing and flossing so its easier to keep up with daily oral hygiene. Additionally, these braces are less irritating to the inside of the mouth and have an easier adjustment period.
Dr. Grewal completed his Dental and Orthodontic studies at Howard University in Washington D.C. and has treated over 7,000 patients since the beginning of his orthodontic career, twelve years ago. I was amazed from start to finish by Dr. Grewal and his staff. Upon my first consultation, everyone was so kind and friendly. Being an adult I was nervous but, Dr. G put my mind at ease and saw a vision of my beautiful smile before I ever saw it myself. He worked miracles and was able to give me the most perfect smile! I even moved to Texas from Missouri during my orthodontic treatment and he was so accommodating and well worth the drive when I needed to get my braces tightened. Highly recommend him!! We were disappointed in the way that our daughter's teeth were being moved- her top teeth were literally being pushed up into her gums- giving her the look of someone that is elderly instead of a teenager. We moved, and so thankfully the orthodontist at our new residence is taking care of the issue and moving the teeth to the correct place!

As a 53 year old, who was wearing braces for the 2nd time, this was a good experience. The process went fast and all staff members, including the girls in the front, all of the assistants to Dr. G were exceptional and caring. I would recommend thier practice to anyone who is looking for an Orthodontist. You will not be disappointed. I got my braces off yesterday and couldn't be happier with the result.

Absolutely love the people who work here. Everyone is extremely nice, always. Came for my free consultation and I KNEW this was the place I wanted to come to. So glad this was where I chose. VERY affordable and the work done so far is amazing and very noticeable change has been done and I've only had one visit since I got my braces put on.

Love orthodontics was the best thing I ever came across for my son! There payment plans made it so affordable for us to be able to fix our son's teeth and abs we will forever be grateful! My son's front teeth were curving in and his K9's were growing over his baby teeth. Today was the day that we both had been waiting for so long! We are so happy with the results! Everyone was so nice and always so helpful they saw my son in two different locations and it was very convenient! I will be using them for my daughter as well!!! Highly recommend them for anyone that is needing braces!!!!! 10 out of 10!!!!

See my Before & After! Dr. G and the entire Staff at Love Orthodontics is perfect, and I mean that! They are so nice, they listen, they answer all of your questions, they care and they are amazing at giving you the perfect smile! If you ever have an emergency Dr. G will call you from his cell anytime, even on Christmas, and they get you in immediately! To top it off they have the Most Affordable Prices around! The workers were really nice but from when i put the braces on to now(i still have them on) i have been in pain.. yes i understand that it does feel uncomfortable but i dont think your mouth is supposed to be swollen and some teeth bleeding... and my brackets fall off almost every time i eat so do not go to this place!! they cut your lip and rip your teeth!!

Love Orthodontics is amazing!! Dr. Grewal and his team did a wonderful job straightening my daughter's teeth. They were compassionate, professional, and always had time for questions and concerns. They made us feel like family not just a number or patient. The work they did was outstanding!! My daughter's teeth were really bad and other orthodontist wanted to pull teeth and so much more. Dr. Grewal was able to straighten her teeth without surgery! Her teeth look fabulous! Their prices were VERY reasonable and we could even make payments. I HIGHLY recommend Love Orthodontics!

Wonderful! We went to several different consultations to decide who to see for braces. Love Orthodontics was wonderful, kind, clean, more affordable (as much as braces can be!), and very accommodating ! I am a parent who asks a ton of questions and they never seemed tired of the questions! Even with the masks you can tell all the staff are smiling, kind and they all are very knowledgeable. I would recommend coming in for a consult, you will LOVE them too! I will add we are just starting off with them. So if there is anything to add I will for sure edit my review, but i just felt the need to put my review on here for all those who are looking!

I felt so bad as a mother that my daughter didn't have braces yet, I went to a very high end dentist office in Springfield and walked out thinking that I'd never get my daughter braces after I saw the cost. After 6 months I looked into other orthodontists & found Loves Orthodontist and seen good reviews so I went in with NO expectations and thinking I'm just going to disappoint my daughter again. Well after meeting amazingly kind, friendly staff and then to top it off the Dentist was just as awesome as the staff! I was there only 30 minutes and my daughter is schedule for braces in a week! Thank you SO much for caring about your patients and their needs!

I was having some serious issues with a poking wire and called to ask if Love Orthodontics would be able to help. Although I am not a paying customer (my orthodontist is back in Kansas City) they were quick to help me with my problem. They provided me with instant relief and wonderful customer service within an hour of my call. Highly recommend!
