Dr. Michael Lovda was born and raised in Chicago, attending Lane Tech High School. He received a Bachelor in Science degree from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin and then attended the University of Illinois Dental College in Chicago, where he graduated with honors. There he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity. Following dental college, he served a one-year general practice residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, broadening his dental education.

Dr. Mike is passionate about forming connections with patients to help them develop a great smile and confidence. He was raised in Barrington and is a graduate of Barrington High School. He received his Bachelors degree in Biology from Indiana University and his Masters Degree in Biotechnology at Roosevelt University. In 2015, he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
Dr. Mike is a firm believer of continuing education to deliver comprehensive treatment using the very latest in dental technology. He has extensive experience with CEREC technology, which allows for the convenience of one-time visits for crown and bridgework for his patients. He has also completed training in dental implants and periodontal surgical techniques.
Dr. Mike is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Mike is happily married to his wife Megan. They have two dogs, Rocky and Roo. In his free time, Dr. Mike can be found at the ice rink playing hockey, enjoying live country music with his wife, or hiking trails with his dogs.

Can't say enough about this place. After 10-ish years of ignoring a couple of dental issues due to my fear of the big bad dentist monster, I never thought I'd say this. I enjoy/look forward to going to the dentist now. Dr. Mike is a master of his craft.

Everything was on time (as usual) and went smoothly, I could not watch the masters nor the Cubs game but Lovda jr assured me the problem would be resolved by my next visit

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that will leave you feeling in good hands. As someone without dental insurance, the prices and ability to set up a payment plan that worked for me was essential. Dr. Mike Jr. is a wizard with the needle and will make sure that whatever procedure you have is quick and painless

After years of neglecting my teeth I was able to get taken care of how I haven't before. Megan was beyond accommodating and was there for me when it came to figure out what I needed to schedule. Dr. Mike was super friendly and took the "fear of the dentist" out of every appointment I had. The office was extremely clean and inviting. Will hands down be returning as much as I can now that they have put me on the right path to better health.

Both Dr. Lovdas are awesome! Always accomodating with appointments for urgent issues. Use state of the art equipment & techniques. Never try to sell you procedures you don't need. They make going to the dentist pleasant for my whole family.

At the risk of sounding cliche, I hate going to the dentist. I have an issue with novacaine/local anesthesia, which most dentists just ignore, and proceed to drill and poke at will. The care and attention everyone at this practice gives cannot be overstated. You have earned a lifelong patient with me.
