The future of dentistry is very bright, and I am honored to be a part of such a great profession. I believe that by creating a great smile, new opportunities are created for my patients and their families. Helping people overcome their fears and become more self-confident in their appearance opens doors for a successful life. There is no greater blessing than helping others.

My dental career began more than 25 years ago, and in that time, I have gotten to know so many amazing families in our community. I appreciate the trust my patients have placed in me and my team and consider them to be so much more than just patients; they are my friends and neighbors.

I am a graduate of Oral Roberts UniversitySchool of Dentistry, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1986. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and am committed to developing myknowledge of the latest advances in dental technology. This advanced training has included areas such as cosmetic techniques, implant dentistry, and orthodontics. Most recently, I have completed a course in laser dentistry, which enabledme to offer laser restorations and eliminate the need for injections.

I grew up in Wakefield, Massachusetts, just outside Boston, and have lived in Leesburgfor the past 18 years. I have been married to my wonderful wifeKimfor 28 years. We have two handsome sons, Colin and Grant, as well as three playful and loving dogs.

When I am not working, I can frequently be found tinkering with one of my two motorcycles. I have worked with motorcycles ever since I was young. I also enjoy visits to Smith Mountain Lake with my family for boating, skiing, fishing, and motorcycle excursions on the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway.

As the parent of a child with autism, I am passionate about supporting any cause that helps children and adults with autism. I have been involved in the founding of the Aurora School, Loudouns only private school for children with autism. I am active in fundraising efforts for this school and have been recognized by the National Alliance for Autism Research for my Smiles for Kidsprogram.

Dr. Barekzi's entry into dentistry started when he worked as a dental assistant and continued throughout dental school. Early on, he realized subtle things necessary to be a great dentist, such as listening to his patients. It is important to address the needs of patients and also the importance of educating them. Patients appreciate the time Dr. Barekzi takes to inform them why a procedure is necessary for their oral and overall health.

Dr. Barekzi's ambition is to show patients, through his work, that dentistry does not have to be painful or uncomfortable. Patients express nothing but gratitude for his gentle hands and excellent chair-side manner.

Growing up in Springfield, VA, Dr. Barekzi graduated from West Springfield High School. Next he received a Biology degree from James Madison University. Dr. Barekzi received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated Cum Laude.

We have such a great dental team! They are all very active in the community and genuinely care about the patients they see. They are very experienced and our patients love them. All our team members have been with us for many years.

I am genuinely pleased to share in the excitement of seeing my patients with the smiles of their dreams. Practicing dentistry at Loudoun Family Dental has been such a blessing. Our patients are wonderful and the team I work with shares in my commitment to our patients health. I look forward to many years of creating healthy, beautiful smiles in the Purcellville community.

I attended El Bosque University and completed my dental residency at National University in Colombia, South America. I practiced family dentistry in Colombia for five years before traveling to the United States. I completed the advanced general dentistry program at the Cleft Palate Institute in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In addition, I have received advanced training in veneers and cosmetic treatments.

My husbandKenand I have two beautiful children, Samantha and Patrick. I enjoy spending time with my children and tending to their many activities, as well as traveling to South America to visit family there.

We recognize that allour patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

I am a new patient and was very pleased with the service I received! I was in the waiting room less than 5 minutes (despite the new patient paperwork) when they called me back to be seen. They were prepared to go to work immediately to remediate my issue. I had expected to have to make a different appointment after an initial consultation. They were quick, efficient, and thorough.

Today I had the first of two appointments to replace two of my molars with crowns. My teeth and gums are very sensitive, and dentistry can cause me a lot of discomfort. Dr. Barekzi and his assistant Nikki carefully listened to my concerns, and found a way to do the procedure without causing me any pain. Cyndi from the front desk honored my request of putting a HEPA air filtering unit next to my chair. I am extremely grateful to the entire staff at Loudoun Valley Dental.
