Dr. Phan brings a personal touch to the care she offers. She believes that open communication between patient and doctor is critical for maintaining lasting relationships and making informed decisions. Along with preventative care and patient education, Dr. Phan believes that good dental habits will ensure a lifetime of excellent oral health. Dr. Phan enjoys creating positive experiences for her patients, and whether shes helping a patient transform his smile or giving a child her first dental exam, her goal is to make every dental visit pleasant.
Dr. Phan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Civilization from the University of California Davis and graduated with the highest honors. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2001. After working as an associate dentist for seven years at private practices in the Peninsula and South Bay, she purchased her Los Gatos office in 2008 and transformed it into a family-focused dental practice.
She is also certified in laser dentistry and Invisalign, and she has completed various continuing education courses in cosmetic dentistry. Staying up to date on the changes within dentistry is an important part of providing patients with comfortable, contemporary care.
When she's not helping patients improve their oral health, Dr. Phan likes to travel, read, sail, and scuba dive. Now she spends most of her time raising two young kids. She also provides volunteer dental work with local charities.
Susan has been a dental hygienist for 15 years and she still enjoys it after all this time. When she's not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, and gardening.
Jasmine has been working as a registered dental assistant since 2007 and enjoys working with our patients to help them achieve their oral health goals. She loves being part of the Los Gatos Family Dentistry team and stays current with continuing education to provide the best service for each patient. Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her family.
Amy began working in a dental office as a senior in high school. She has over 21 years of dental experience in working in the front office and in the back assisting the doctor. She enjoys meeting and talking with people but most of all, she really loves making sure patients have a great dental experience.
Amy has been happily married for 13 years and has two wonderful boys. When she's not on mom duty, she enjoys baking, glass etching, going to amusement parks and doing jigsaw puzzles. Besides her family, she loves all things involving Pirates, Halloween and most of all DISNEY! Amy will always be a big kid at heart.
Dr. Phan is a WONDERFUL dentist! She took her time and made sure that everything was done properly and done very thoroughly with me! She even let my son, who is only 15 months old, sit on my lap at one point so that he could start getting used to being in the chair. She even gave him a special little toothbrush just for him, counted his teeth, and took a digital picture of his 13 teeth! I was very impressed with her digital x-rays and digital pictures! It really gave me peace of mind to know that she has everything saved and that if I had to go another dentist, we can compare things very easily if necessary.
I was visiting family in the area when I went to see her and she came very highly recommended! Even though I live about 6 hours away by car, I will be trying to visit my family every 6 months, just so that I can see her and not have to go see someone else. I can not say how much I actually enjoyed my dentist experience which is saying a lot since I had avoided a dentist for almost 3 years!!! I will be going to Dr. Phan as often as my family visits allow!

I came in 15 minutes late after I was stuck behind a car accident. I was greeted with kindness and had a wonderfully thorough exam and cleaning despite my tardiness. This office is impeccably run, the staff is professional and knowledgeable and I would recommend Los Gatos Family Dentistry to everybody.

Going to the dentist isn't my favorite thing, but they make it so painless and everyone is so friendly he was really not a problem. Daphne was especially good with the teeth cleaning, she was very gentle and took her time and was very thorough.

I'm a new client to LGFD. I called this am because I was having tooth pain. They got me in the same day, and made me so comfortable. I have severe dental anxiety, and they totally calmed my nerves. Dr. Phan and her staff made me totally comfortable and explained everything to me. I'll be back for my cleaning in 2 weeks!

In the scary atmosphere of Shelter in Place and Covid 19, I felt welcome and comfortable. Everyone is calm, no hurrying and definitely no negative conversation. And no pain! Two years later - I had an unexpected toothache, called, expecting perhaps I could get an appointment sometime soon, and was happily surprised that they found room for me the very next day! I found out what was wrong and got a referral. Most friendly and explaining very well. Thanks!

Teeth cleaning went well. Dr Pham did the cleaning and Beatrice did the polishing. Cost was higher than expected even with small discount for paying at office. Will have crowns put in 2 implants in a few months.

I was very impressed on my first visit with Dr. Phan and my first visit to her office. The staff was on time, very accommodating and professional. Dr. Phan did my initial cleaning instead of turning it over to an assistant. She told me she liked to do that so she could get to know the patient and their teeth before turning over the regular maintenance to her hygienist. She also took the time to fully explain the reason behind frequent cleanings and exactly how she would like me to take care of my teeth at home. She made sure I understood everything before I left her office. After some unpleasant dental visits at other dentists in the past and 3 years away from any dentist because of Covid, this was a quick, easy and painless experience. I will not hesitate to go back, and I have already scheduled my next appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Phan and especially to those who are not fond of going to the dentist!

I had postponed my appointments due to C-19. Finally saw Dr Phan's office was prepared for service. I felt completely comfortable with all the precautions the office put into operation. The staff is always friendly, courteous and professional.

This place is AMAZING! All the people are great. They're nice and when my last dentist retired, my mom suggested I give this place a try. I'm glad I did. Now our entire family comes here. Each visit, they make sure to ask if there's anything bothering you and they go over any and all the medications you take. They're worried about covid and make sure they go above and beyond! They take temperature checks and go thru a list of questions to make sure everyone is safe. This place is a little on the smaller side (still bigger than my old dentist). Its a diamond in the rough and I'm so glad its smaller. Even if people start flooding, I know they'd still make it feel/seem like a close knit family dentist. THANK YOU!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!
