Dentistry allows me to help people achieve the best smile possible. I do believe that dentistry isn 't just about teeth however. Its also about people-our patients and my team. I believe in treating each person who comes into the office as an individual and really try and get to know them. Many of my patients have been with me since the beginning of my practice in 1987. I strongly believes in a holistic approach to dentistry, believing that your overall health impacts your oral health.'
Dr. Engelmann graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1979, The University of Kansas in 1983 and from The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry in 1987. After completing her training at UMKC Dr. Engelmann chose to stay here to be close to family and for the warm, friendly people of the mid-west. Dr. Engelmann has two children; Jenna is a graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth working in the marketing industry and Garrett is a graduate of the California Maritime Academy. She enjoys KU Basketball, TCU Football, watching her kids in their varied activities, and traveling the world.
Dr. Engelmann is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association and the 5th District Dental Society. She is continually attending training sessions to keep up on the latest in dental treatment and protocol.
My name is Nakita and I am a Dental Hygienist at Dr. Lori's office. I received my license in 2013 after attending the Dental Hygiene program at Johnson County Community College. I enjoy working for Dr. Lori because she is kind, honest, and has a conservative approach to dentistry.
My name is Alyson and I am one of Dr. Lori's Dental Hygienists. I received my Bachelor of Science from UMKC School of Dentistry in 1997. I have worked full-time and part-time for Dr. Lori since 2001. Needless to say, I love this office and our patients!
My name is Natalie and I am an aspiring dentist who is lucky enough to work in Dr. Engelmanns office. I am a dental assistant as well as help at the front desk. I will attend UMKC School of Dentistry starting in fall of 2019. I have learned so much about patient care working here and look forward to becoming a personable, caring dentist like Dr. Engelmann.

Denise was fantastic! I used to have a fear of going to the dentist, but since I have been going to 133 dental I look forward to my visits. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming and they have never made me feel like I haven't taken proper care of my teeth. Lori is also great and even remembers what's going on in my life 6 months in between my visits.

Been with her practice for over 20 yr. Got me in within an hour after I broke a tooth. Got it stabilized and plan made for definitive treatment. Problem solved. What more could you ask?

Dr. Engelmann's office is always very prompt and efficient. I feel like I always get excellent care! When I had a crown come off, they got me in very promptly. I didn't realize they could clean my retainers for me and didn't take them to my appointment. It was very easy to take them back later and pick them up all cleaned! Everyone there is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Glad I found them! I highly recommend Dr. Engelmann and all in her office!
