Dr. Matthew LoPresti is a second-generation dentist with a passion for delivering exceptional dentistry to his patients. Matthew is a graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and he completed his Post-Graduate training at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, where he was the Resident of the Year. He also won the Prosthodontic and Pediatric Dentistry Awards for outstanding clinical performance. After residency, Dr. LoPresti spent over 4 years in New York City practicing alongside his father who continues to serve as a mentor to him.
Dr. LoPresti had a vision for a practice that was driven by technology to make a more efficient and comfortable dental experience- he built his dream office from scratch in downtown Stamford in 2017. Dr LoPresti was born and raised in Lincroft, New Jersey. He went to Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT for undergrad where his love for Connecticut began. It was during his first year of dental school at Columbia University where he met his wife, Elisse, at their mutual friends labor day picnic right here in Stamford, CT. Elisse is a science teacher in Wilton, CT and they reside in Fairfield with their son and daughter.
Dr. Jonathan LoPresti was born and raised in Lincroft, New Jersey. He went to Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT for his undergraduate studies. In his last year at Fairfield University, he met his wife Kathryn. They reside in New Jersey with their daughters Stella and Siena.
Dr. LoPresti enjoys playing golf, attending local car shows, and loves watching Formula One racing as well as the MLB and NFL. When Dr. LoPresti is out of the office you will find him spending time with his family and friends.
We know that first visits can be intimidating but do not worry, your comfort and care is our top priority. Here is what you can expect during your first visit to LoPresti Cosmetic and Family Dentistry.
Next, we will perform a comprehensive oral exam that includes a non-invasive oral cancer screening, periodontal probing, charting your existing dental restorations, and x-rays. If no signs of periodontal disease are present, you will have a routine cleaning after your exam. If we do find signs of periodontal disease, we may reschedule the cleaning portion of your visit to allow more time. All new patient receive a complimentary 3D iTero scan that gives us a digital impression of your teeth. This allows Dr. LoPresti to digitally evaluate your teeth, bite and gums to have a record of where you are today.
We offer many payment options and can prioritize and stagger your treatments to give you a smile you deserve, in a timeframe you can afford. We want your visit with us to exceed your expectations, so please ask any questions and offer any suggestions you have!
We believe quality dental care should be affordable and accessible to everyone. Because oral health is so important, we do everything we can to remove financial barriers and help the greatest number of patients possible. We accept most insurance providers and third-party payment alternatives for those without insurance.

Everyone at Dr. LoPresti's office is amazing! The whole experience is fantastic. The employees are kind, personable, and make the dentist feel like a breeze. Marina, the hygienist I saw, was so sweet and informative. Dr. LoPresti was a pleasure to see, answered all my questions, and made me feel totally at home. Can't recommend them enough!

I hate the dentist. Everyone does, right? What sane person enjoys going to the dentist? Well... Dr. LoPresti and his staff are changing that narrative. I haven't been to the dentist in far longer than I'd like to admit. I was hesitant. Trembling at the thought of making an appointment. Damnit, I was scared! I knew I didn't want the same outdated, carpet-ridden, dingy, old dentist office, with some sadistic dentist digging through my mouth as he or she nears closer to retirement by the day. I wanted change! It's 2022 for crying out loud! Enter LoPresti Cosmetic and Family Dentistry. Clean. Innovative. Informative. Updated. Technology-focused. Friendly. What a relief! I've only been there a handful of times and I already feel like I've known everyone there for 10+ years. From the front desk, to the hygienist, to Dr. LoPresti, everyone is all smiles (pun intended) and super friendly. They have cutting-edge tech which is one of the reasons why I specifically decided to go with them. I saw an ad online and knew that if I have to succumb myself to a dentist, this is the place I want to try. I am so glad I did! I can't believe I am going to say this (gulp), but I like going to the dentist now... I'm still sane, right? Did I mention they let you watch Netflix while you're getting worked on? Yeah, big points there. Would give them more stars if the option was there.

This is the FIRST time in 4 decades that I've had a relaxed, confident, trauma and pain-free experience at a dentists office. Dr. LoPresti is not merely a dentist, he is a compassionate, understanding physician who goes far above and beyond to put his patients at ease. Both he and his staff are outstandingly knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and professional to a fault. I'm always met with a warm smile from Sydney the moment I step inside. My treatment plan was carefully outlined and explained in detail. In addition I should note that Dr. LoPresti is very gentle, works quickly and produces outstanding results. Lovely to discover a patient doctor not phased by my nervous jitters!

OMG!!! I literally hit jackpot. They were SO thorough, Emily the hygienist was seriously so knowledgeable, profesional, informative, and quick with x-rays and scanning me with very high technology! I'm so impressed with the way the office looks and makes you feel. The front desk coordinator was fantastic and welcoming me and helping me with insurance. Dr.LoPresti secured we would get my mouth back in check and went over a really thorough plan. Loved loved my time there, it really felt like it was my time and it meant a lot to feel that way. These people are amazing! I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to people poking and prodding in my mouth due to trauma as a kid, but today, I got a filling and they made the whole thing so quick and painless. Sydney was very kind and reassuring to me, helping me relax beforehand. Dr. John was great. He genuinely listened to + validated my concerns and talked to me throughout the appointment to help distract and calm me down... and it was over before I knew it! I highly, HIGHLY recommend them, especially if you have dental anxiety like me!

Dr Lopresti and his staff are nothing but highly professional. I felt very comfortable and safe with all the protective measures they have in place! Don't let Covid keep you from your dental hygiene. BEST in the business. Stunning office space. Amazingly detailed to Covid safety and over all stellar staff. The front desk. administrator is intelligent concise and cheerful , Emily the oral hygienist is a judgement free friendly but still highly professional superstar. She is extremely detailed and gentle with the Instruments. Doctor Lopresti is very upbeat and intuned to what patients are looking for. A SPA experience with a family feel at affordable prices.

I recently moved from NYC to Harbor Point in Stamford, and despite my loyalty to my internist, hair dresser, etc. in Manhattan, I was confident walking into Dr. LoPresti's office. I was welcomed with open arms, and with each visit, I am reminded of why I choose this team to perfect my smile. The entire team is awesome; super accommodating and personable. Matt is a very straight-forward and professional dentist. Type of guy who can breakdown exactly what's going on with your situation, how to mitigate issues, and give an in-depth explanation on potential procedures. He can also keep things short and get you in and out without inconvenience -- I've never had to wait more than 60 seconds when I show up to his office. I always like talking to Matt because he's down-to-earth. I think that personality is why he's managed to staff his office with equally professional and straight-forward assistants/other dentists. I would recommend this place to anybody.

My first visit was great and I can't wait to continue care with this team. The office is beautiful and extremely clean. The front desk staff, hygienist and doctor were all nice and welcoming from start to finish. You get a cute laminated menu to choose additional services and even the option of wireless headphones and Netflix for your visit. Everything about the practice is up to date and beyond. This was my first time ever having my impressions scanned digitally and I was blown away at the technology! Although there were many things about my experience that made it wonderful, I loved that the hygienist and doctor made my visit about me. They genuinely cared about my concerns and didn't try to pressure or upsell me services like previous dentists. I wish I had come here sooner!!
