Dr. Angel Lopez, Jr. was born and raised in Tampa. He graduated form PlantHigh School in 1973, where he received the Florida Regents Scholar Certificate of Merit in recognition of distinguished academic excellence as one of the outstanding high school graduates in Florida. This award was given by the Florida Department of Education. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida in 1977, where he graduated with honors, magna cum laude. Dr, Lopez thenattended Dental School at the University of Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida in 1980, Dr. Lopez returned to his home town ofTampa to strart his dental practice in 1981.
Dr. Lopez is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Hillsborough County Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Academy of General Dentistry (Past-President), Tampa Bay Academy of General Dentistry, Tampa Dental Study Club (Past President) and the Tampa Implant Study Club.
Dr Lopez received his Fellowship Award in 1986 and Mastership Award in 1990 from the Academy of General Dentistry. These Awards were presented for exceptional interest in responsible patient care through dedicated participation in continuing dental education.
