Dr. Longo graduated from UNK in 2008 and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska for dental school. He then began an orthodontic residency at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Following achievement of his masters and certificate in orthodontics, Dr. Longo fulfilled his lifelong goal by returning to his hometown to establish his practice.

I grew up in Omaha, but I have lived in Kearney since 1988 and consider it my 'home'. My husband, Peter, and I raised our two children here and we now have 5 grandchildren. Kearney is indeed a great place to live. My favorite part of my job is being a team member of Longo Orthodontics and serving our amazing patients.
I am a lifelong Kearney resident and I love working with all the families here at LO. I am the smiling face at the reception desk, and I so greatly enjoy watching patients interact with one another. My favorite thing about this job is the joyful day that patients get their braces removed and you get to show off your new, beautiful smile!
I was born and raised in Kearney and am so thankful for the opportunity to move back and grow our family here. Kearney is an amazing community and I love being a part of it! A random fact about me is my favorite food is a cheeseburger! :) My hobbies include hunting, sports, shopping, helping on the farm, & spending time with friends and family! My favorite movie is Sweet Home Alabama and Walk the Line. My favorite thing about working at LFO is the fun, energetic atmosphere and the amazing people I work with! What makes me happiest? I grew up in Paxton Nebraska. My nickname from my family is tatorbug. Random fact about me is not so random, I LOVE CATS!!! I enjoy Geocaching, reading, and outdoor activities. My favorite movie is between Avatar or Titanic, I mean they were both created by the same guy so I had to like them both! My favorite thing about working at LO is the great atmosphere that is at this practice. I enjoy seeing the wide age range of our patients and working with families to help make each and every kid happy and have a smile they can't wait to show off. What makes me happiest in the world is family.
I grew up in Amherst, NE. My nickname is Mana Banana. A random fact about me is I never sneeze just once. It's usually 7 times in a row! My hobbies include spending time with my family, binge watching Netflix series, and shopping. My favorite TV show would be Grey's Anatomy and Gilmore Girls. My favorite thing about working at Longo Orthodontics is definitely the fun atmosphere and getting to meet so many amazing people. What makes me happiest in this world? My kids (Brody and Gannon), my husband (Dalton), and pizza!
I grew up in Kearney. My nickname is Shawny and mommy. A random fact about me is that my favorite season is fall. I love going to pumpkin patches and watching Husker football. My hobbies are shopping, spending time with my family, movie nights, and doing fun family activities. My favorite movie is Christmas Vacation and we watch it every Christmas. My favorite thing about working at LO is the relationships that I have formed with not only the people that I work with but also the patients and their families. Dr. Longo was born in 1987, the same year the energy drink Red Bull was released (coincidence?). He grew up in Kearney, Nebraska and earned a diploma from Kearney Catholic High School in 2005. Following high school, he majored in Biology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor in Science. Dr. Longos roots extend deep into Kearney, with several of his family members currently living in or around the community.
During dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Longo married a fellow Kearney native, Danielle (Reinke). The two moved to a land of beer and cheese in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Dr. Longo's orthodontic residency. Between perfecting smiles and swimming in Lake Michigan, the couple welcomed their daughter, Amelia. Following achievement of his masters and certificate in orthodontics, Dr. Longo returned to his hometown to establish his practice. Danielle is currently a part time pharmacist at Kearney Regional Medical Center and a full-time Mom to Amelia and their newest addition Charlie.
Dr. Longo has many hobbies, however these days he is busy running after Amelia and Charlie. A little known self-proclaimed fact is that Dr. Longo can change a diaper in under 3 seconds while eating a sandwich. He is also an avid storyteller and hypochondriac, as you will hear of his many body aches and pains as a consequence of too much crawling, dancing, and playing with his kids. When he gets a moment to himself, he is likely reading about the Huskers, Lopers, and local sports teams or out for a run.
