Sign-up is quick and simple. Just ask our Front Desk staff to sign you up for Patient Portal and they will get you started. You should receive a username and password from our practice via email that you can print out and customize after your initial login. Access can be made via any web browser, or through the smartphone app.
We share information with our patients that we feel can help them and keep them informed. Every practice is different and we try to provide patients with key information regarding their health, though the available content will evolve over time. The Long Valley Health Center will work to improve the quality of life for all people of Northern Mendocino County by providing, in a respectful and compassionate manner, the most comprehensive and highest quality, integrated health care services possible.
In the mid 1970's, an advisory board of Laytonville community members formed with the intention of starting a health center for their community and the surrounding area. Their efforts led to the opening of the Long Valley Health Center in March of 1978. During this early stage, LVHC had one part-time doctor, a nurse, and three support staff who reported treating 79 patients in rented rooms inside of Laytonville's Garden Club building during their first month. LVHC became a Federally Qualified Health Center in 1986, and has since moved to Branscomb Rd and grown into what it is today, which includes the addition of a dental clinic. Our practice has over 40 full-time and part-time staff members, including physicians, advanced practitioners, a dental team, a robust behavioral health team, an acupuncturist and a chiropractor.

Before COVID happened and everything shut down, I had needed a root canal done. They completely forgot me as a patient, and never rescheduled. I came in to get my tooth looked at again, they have rescheduled me, told me I needed a specialist but the referral person wasn't there, and never did send a referral. I had to come back yet again with an infection and root canal needed and they said they could do it there now. Still waiting and now my tooth hurts yet again, been two and a half years, they find reasons to charge insurance, yet get nothing accomplished.

This office lies to their patients. I had a appointment to fix my teeth and they tried to switch it to a teeth cleaning. They stated teeth cleaning is every 3 months to try and lie to me about it. In reality for the past 35 years ever since I can remember it is every 6 months. Twice a year. Not to mention it took my wife 5 years to get them to clean her teeth. This office gets away with so much because they are the only office in the area. I am glad I am getting a new dentist. The drive to Willits is better then dealing with their poor care. Not to mention the guy working in the front is absolutely clueless and rude. They have the good ol boy attitude also. If you try to complain about anything they do wrong they will also, like the health clinic across the street try to make it out that you are the problem not them. Not to mention they have a dog walking around the office which is not sanitary in this setting.

I had an emergency abscess so contacted this clinic . They made me drive 25 miles from leggett to Laytonville to make me sit and wait for 1.5 hours and see walk-ins before me .they brought people with no urgency in ahead of me when they could of looked at my face and give antibiotics that could prevent a serious infection. I walked out and will never come back to this clinic . Felt so disgusted with how they disregarded the urgency the situation and allowed people with no pain ahead of me when. They told me to be there at 345. Made me wait so long I would never of got the prescription filled .

I haven't received the best treatment here. Mr Lopez one of their dental assistants has messed up on my mouth several times. This last time will be the last time I go into this office. I told him what he was doing was hurting and he scoffed, said the tooth he was working on had a root canal done and he kept going at it. It was number 5 that had the root canal, not #7. That's the third time he has messed up working on me. Really quite disappointing. It doesn't seem to matter what I said to him. They sent me out of their office with a cap on my tooth that I honestly want to yank out and have reset. It doesn't feel right. I told him that too when he was finished and I asked him to fix it and he scoffed again. That's on top of their temporary dentist that left me sitting in a chair ready to be worked on, numbed up, for 2 hours, before he actually started on me. Patients should be treated better than this.

I had been looking for a dentist in Humboldt and finally found Long Valley and they are definitely a great option! Dentist aren't easy to find up here, but I highly recommend them! =)

I have been to the place 3 times now, the first was to get imaging done and to establish care. My second visit was for a root canal which went extreamly well as I do not get numb easy. The third visit was for a cleaning and the 4th will be a filling. My experience has been beyond what I could have hoped for. 5 stars form me!

I walked in perfectly fine and while I was getting numbed to get my filling they just left me sitting there with the stuff in my mouth for 30 minutes to attend someone else and when I left my dentist asked "does anything g hurt at all" I said "no" cuz I'm numbed I can't feel anything but when I was on my way home my mouth hurt so bad not even pills helped!

I walked in perfectly fine and while I was getting numbed to get my filling they just left me sitting there with the stuff in my mouth for 30 minutes to attend someone else and when I left my dentist asked "does anything g hurt at all" I said "no" cuz I'm numbed I can't feel anything but when I was on my way home my mouth hurt so bad not even pills helped!
