Dr. James Hutchens was born and raised in Waynesboro, Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Science in biology from James Madison University. Dr. Hutchens pursued his dental education at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. MCV is one of the best known and most distinguished dental institutions in the southeastern United States.
Dr. Hannah Mabe came to the Valley from Patrick County, in southern Virginia. She received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Virginia. Dr. Mabe pursued her dental education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation, Dr. Mabe completed a General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, where she gained additional training in surgery, medically complex cases, and treatment of special needs and pediatric patients.

Everyone is so warm and nice, they always make me feel comfortable and welcome before starting a cleaning or procedure. Everyone also really cares and is extremely passionate about their job. Best dentist office I have ever been too, will continue to go as long as I have teeth for them to do their beautiful work.

Everyone is friendly and seems to enjoy their job. Dr. Mabe is very personable and never pushy about having this and that done which I personally appreciate because my previous Dentists have suggested crowns when that were not needed! I will continue to see Dr. Mabe!

My experience is always good. They are very professional yet very personable. They always explain things well. I like their membership program where are you get two cleanings a year and some discount on your dental work.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist or a change. Dr. Mabe is wonderful and really spends time with you. Very knowledgeable. All the hygienists are very friendly and know their job very well. They take the nervousness out of going to the dentist....

Disappointed. I have waited so long for this implant to be completed, and the wrong shade comes in... Now I have to wait another 2 weeks with a hole in my mouth. Plus the fact it's going to cost me an additional $1100. Just doesn't seem right.

I have been going here for years! They are excellent with kids, & have really nice equipment, but beyond even that the staff at this establishment is wonderful! If you're looking for a new dentist office I HIGHLY recommend coming here!

Kat is absolutely one of the best dental hygienist I've had ever had in my dental health years, which are many. Her gift in her gentleness and caring in her work is unsurpassed. Hannah is a jewel of a Dentist in her desire to execute a complete oral examination at the time of the scheduled routine maintenance visits. The staff, all around, is very responsive.

My wife and I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Hannah Maby and her staff since relocating to Waynesboro in 2020. We have been extremely pleased with our experience finding the office efficient, thorough, and friendly. Because I have 10 years of professional experience working in dental offices, I feel that I am well qualified to offer an opinion as to the general quality of dental care in her office. We have been using this office for many years with Dr Hutchins and now Dr Mabe. Staff is friendly, competent and we love all the new technology!! Best hygienist ever!!! Highly recommend if you should be looking for a great dentist!!!!
