Dr Marcus is superb. He is skilled, is deeply interested and responsive to your dental care and concerns and is an excellent diagnostician. I trust his judgment. He makes you immediately relaxed and gets to know you as a person. I have had Endodontal work done by Dr Marcus on multiple occasions. I always feel like I can take a deep breath and relax when he enters the room and I am NOT a relaxed dentsl patient, He's the best!

I'm a returning root canal patient and was always very satisfied with Dr. Marcus. This time however I was seen by Dr. "Luka" (Ivan Lukachynets) who I found to be an excellent Endocrinologist as well!

Drove from New Jersey to get a root canal on a problematic (hot tooth). Had a fantastic experience and didn't feel a thing. Couldn't be happier with my experience.

To say I was incredibly nervous to get a root canal is an understatement. Fortunately for me, I had Dr. Marcus as my endodontist!! He eased my nerves and made the entire process super easy and 100% painless! As for the aftermath of my procedure, I have never felt better! I can't thank Dr. marcus & his team enough. They were remarkable.

Dr Marcus is a great doctor he takes good care of you and I left his office with my tooth problem completely fixed. I was terrified to have a root canal. In Dr. Marcus hands I didn't feel a thing. He is also a great joke teller :> I would recommend my family and friends to see him for all dental problems.

I had a root canal done by Dr. Ivan Lukachynets last week. It was an amazingly good experience. No pain, all questions answered, and great result. This is a highly professional and competent doctor, staff, and office. It's nice to know that now whenever we need an Endodontist, we'll be able to see Dr. Lukachynets. Worth a drive from anywhere.

Be aware before going there if you are new patient. They will tell you to pay certain amount before your visit just to get you there then later on you'll receive another big bill. I have very bad experience with this office and would like to share it with everyone. My wife went there for half root canal (where the first half was done by different dentist). Before the visit, the billing dept. gave her the exact out of pocket amount that she was suppose to pay. In the day of the visit, she paid for the agreed amount. One month later, they sent her another bill. They billed our insurance for the full cost of the root canal though only half of the procedure was done. I called the office manager today and explained the situation and how her first dentist (who did the first half of the procedure) got paid by my insurance and how they not supposed to bill for the full amount. Plus the billing never made us aware of the extra charges in advance, but the manager was very unprofessional. She was raising her voice and yelling at me. Very bad and greedy people. Staff is not professional and treat you with disrespect. Be aware!

Dr. Marcus is thorough and caring. His staff is patient and kind. I have recommended him to many people through the years and will continue to do so.He has treated me several times and I have always had great results from his work.

I only have words of praise about my experience at this office. The endontist determined that rather than my anticipated root canal, instead I needed to have my tooth extracted. My appointment with their periodontist for this extraction occurred the following week. During and after the procedure I experienced No pain at all...and actually very minor, if any discomfort whatsoever. All was completed in under 30 minutes. I am still amazed at how easily everything went and how pleasant and professional the entire staff was. I will be returning in 3 months to see if will I am a candidate for an implant, or a bridge. I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone

Outstanding! While no one enjoys having a root canal, this was the best possible experience. Dr. Marcus and the whole team -- the dental assistants, receptionists, billing staff -- were terrific. I felt like they genuinely had my best interests at heart. I highly recommend Dr. Marcus and the entire practice!

I have used Dr. Marcus several times and each time have walked away 100% satisfied. His diagnosis and treatment has always been spot on. Always receive a follow up call the next day to see how I'm feeling. His practice accepts my insurance and I am happy to pay whatever the balance is since I feel he is truly an expert in his field. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Marcus.

There is NO better place to go to when your experiencing pain and are in need of a root canal. Dr. Marcus and his staff were beyond attentive, caring, and responsive. Dr. Marcus eased all of my anxiety and calmed my nerves immediately upon arrival. He was super caring and amazingly fast. I was in and out of his organized and clean office in 45 minutes. The best!

I have known Dr Richard Marcus for many years. As a retired dentist, I have always referred my patients who needed root canal therapy to him for his excellent treatment and care. When I woke up with the "proverbial toothache" I knew I needed to call Dr Marcus. Unfortunately he wasn't in the office that day. In turn , I was referred to his partner, Dr Ivan Lukachynets who was as competent as Dr Marcus. He did Root canal therapy for me . He was extremely professional, kind ,gentle and painless. He was able to alleviate the pain and I had absolutely no pain after the procedure. I can highly recommend Dr Lukachynets as well as Dr Marcus for any root canal procedures. In fact, I found the entire practice to be both extremely professional and the office to be clean.

The staff was attentive and Dr. Marcus explained my status, made some adjustments to the tooth shape to improve the performance of upcoming crown and quickly completed the visit. Very satisfied that the root canal went well, and the initial discomfort subsided a couple of days after the procedure.

Let me just say that I am a white knuckle dental patient X 1000. I am also a long time patient at Long Island Dental Specialty. Without a doubt this is the most caring and efficient practice I have ever been to. The staff is always pleasant, accommodating and the Dr's put me at ease right away. If you need a root canal or have other issues I recommend Long Island Dental Specialty without any hesitation.

Had my third root canal there and every one resulted in very little discomfort. Following the procedure, I was able to eat with no discomfort and the pain -- if you want to call it that -- was very tolerable -- just took some Advil for a day or two and everything felt fine after that. Cold on my tooth no longer is my enemy!
