Serving the Central Jersey region, our dental care team is made up of approximately ten employees. Our dentists rotate between the two practices depending on patient needs and the dental treatments required. We all share a common visionwe want to provide patients with the best dental care possible, and we value an environment where everyone feels welcome.
Within a few short years of completing our general practice residencies and entering the workforce, we began to see a trend towards factory-like dental practices where patients never saw the same dentist or dental hygienist twice and reports of high staff turnover were common. We knew this wasnt for us.
With a lot of planning and much enthusiasm, we decided to go into business together and launch our own dental practice. Our goal was to provide patients in the communities where we lived with dentistry of the highest quality in a family-like environment, serving every age group. We opened our first practice, Dental Care of South Brunswick, in 2014 and our second one, Long Hill Dental, in 2016. As mentioned above, we now rotate between the two practices, depending on patient needs and treatments required.
Its an honor and a joy to work with our patients, providing them with routine and emergency dental care as they navigate through the stages of life. Our patients who were middle schoolers and needed braces when we started to see them are now college students; and those sixty-year-olds in the prime of their life who needed a crown, or some cosmetic work, are now retired and have grandchildren!
As dental assistant, Cindy brings more than 20 years of dental experience to our office. She loves helping patients attain their perfect smile and makes it her duty to ensure all of our patients are comfortable in our office. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and gardening.
Joy is one of our full time dental hygienists at Long Hill Dental. She was previously a dental assistant and enjoys her role as a dental hygienist for the past 5 years. In her spare time she enjoys playing volleyball, baking and spending time with family and friends
As a dental hygienist, Katie makes sure our patients feel as comfortable as possible during their visit. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with her friends, family and dog!
Dr. Alan Valderrama earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences at Rutgers University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ where he was a member of the Gamma Pi DeltaProsthodontics Honor Society. In order to advance his training, he then completed a General Practice Residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
Dr. Valderrama is highly accomplished in all phases of dental treatment. Patients speak very highly of him and his thoroughness and dedication to their treatment and well-being. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Middlesex County Dental Society. Before opening Long Hill Dental with Dr. Hussain, Dr. Valderrama served as a leading General Dentist in practices in New Jersey. Dental colleagues praise his dental treatment and chair side manner. He attends several dental conferences and constantly seeks to continue his education in dentistry and implant dentistry. He lives with his wife, Christienne, and young son, Alexander, in Somerset, NJ.

I finally found a great dentist. Dr V made me feel very comfortable right from the start. Gave me a few options but didn't push me to make a decision right there. Office was clean and inviting Office staff very friendly . I'm a happy customer!!

Dr. Alan Valderrama explained patiently and in detail my options and corresponding estimate of costs involved. Staff was attentive and friendly. Arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was attended to right away.

The Doctors are very good and the entire practice is very nice. They are always on point with their punctuality, and the office is always clean and neatly kept. I also like the fact that they offer a membership service which is reasonably priced and offers two cleanings per year along with an exam and X-Rays.

When you find a great dentist, you stick with him/her/them. Twice a year, I take the train from NYC and have a nice little walk. Well worth rhe trip.

Dr V and his staff are awesome!! They make you feel a part of the family from the minute you walk through the door. They are warm and friendly and patient!! I was "dental-phobic", but no more!! Dr V is kind and gentle. He explains everything and performs excellent work. I was never so relaxed in the dentist chair!! My family and I are so lucky to have found him!!!
