More than 40 years ago, Dr. Henry Long established a small family dental office in Cleburne, TX that offered experienced care, comfortable attention, and the highest standards of service possible for his neighbors throughout the local community. In 1995, he was joined by his son Dr. Robert Long (also known as Dr. Bob), followed by his younger son Dr. Chris Long (also known as Dr. Chris) in 2004. While Dr. Henry is now retired, Dr. Bob and Dr. Chris are so proud to carry on his work today, continuing a legacy of devoted, patient-centric oral healthcare that will hopefully continue for many more years to come. In addition to the original Cleburne dental office, we now have a second dental office in Midlothian, which means were conveniently located for even more families throughout the greater DFW area.

With Dr. Henry Long as a father, its easy to say that Dr. Bob was born into the profession. Hes helped out in the dental office ever since he was a little boy, and working in the healthcare field just felt like a natural choice over time. Throughout his younger years, he was able to see firsthand the positive impact that his fathers care could have a patients health and self-image, and he wanted to be able to do the same for his very own patients one day.
After achieving his undergraduate degree from Baylor University, Dr. Bob pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He also completed a two-year General Practice Residency at University Hospital, where he received advanced training in IV sedation and oral surgery. This program allowed him the valuable opportunity to work with medically compromised patients and gain even more exposure in cosmetic care, dental, and complex restorative procedures. He still regularly pursues continuing education, having recently attended a course in sinus grafting for dental implants at the Aikos Institute.
Dr. Bob has been married to his wife Kim for nearly 30 years; she is a United Methodist Pastor. They have two grown children named Becca and Zach together. When he has spare time outside of the dental office, he enjoys hunting, working at the family ranch, traveling, staying active at church, and simply being with his loved ones.
Dr. Chris may have grown up around the world of dentistry, but what really inspired him to enter the oral healthcare field alongside his father and his brother was his love of helping people! He also really enjoys the world of medicine. The career felt like a great fit for his strengths and passions, and all these years later, hes never regretted it for a second.
Dr. Chriss college career started at the University of North Texas, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. In 2002, he was accepted to the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He also regularly pursues advanced training in order to stay abreast of the latest advancements in modern dentistry, which includes courses in root canal therapy, dental implant surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. Hes the proud recipient of the Top 40 Dentist Under Age 40 in America from Incisal Edge magazine!
Dr. Chris and his wife Emily have two sons named Jackson and Brennan both of whom plan on becoming dentists when they grow up! Whenever he has spare time outside of Long Family Dental, he hangs out with his loved ones, goes hunting, fishes, and plays golf.
