When you become a patient at Long Creek Dental, youll not only leave our office with a healthy, eye-catching smile, but the peace of mind that your overall health is in great shape as well. Dr. Langston and his team use dentistry to go beyond the teeth and improve someones general wellness in addition to their pearly whites. Here, whether you just need a cleaning, help with cavities, sleep apnea therapy, or relief from chronic head and neck pain, you can trust that were ready to provide it and much more.

At most other dental offices, 90% of your first visit is spent with a hygienist or dental assistant, and you get roughly 5-minutes with your actual dentist. At Long Creek Dental, we take more time than this to just say Hello! Not only will you get plenty of quality, one-on-one time with Dr. Langston, but he will use your checkup to examine the condition of your airway, jawbone, bite alignment, and more. Basically, the last thing he will look at is your teeth so he can offer solutions designed to help you look and feel better from head to toe.

Just because we offer a more comprehensive type of dentistry here at Long Creek Dental doesnt mean youll have to sacrifice your budget to come see us. We believe that affordability and accessibility are extremely important, which is why we accept several dental insurance plans and are in-network with most providers. Just give us your membership information, and well take care of the rest when it comes to maximizing your benefits.

For patients without dental insurance, or those who are interested in a procedure that isnt covered by their plan, financing with CareCredit is an excellent option. They are used by thousands of healthcare providers around the country and can break up the cost of your treatments into small, monthly installments that wont strain your wallet. They offer many different plans, many with little to no interest, and you can sign up for one right through our website!

Dr. Langston was drawn to dentistry because he saw it would enable him to help a wide variety of people on a daily basis. With dental care, the results can often be immediate, dramatic, and lasting. And, due to the one-on-one nature of dentistry, Dr. Langston saw that it would allow him to form close relationships with each of his patients, which he says is extremely rewarding.

Dr. Langston attended Stephen F. Austin State University, and during his junior year, he was accepted by the Baylor College of Dentistry. After graduating in 1974, he began practicing and has lived in the Dallas area ever since. After spending five years in a traditional dental office, Dr. Langston became frustrated with the standard of orthodontic care. Treatment at that time involved the removal of teeth and the use of headgear. He began studying an orthopedic philosophy that originated in Europe, with treatment involving the expansion of the jaws and decompression of the jaw joints. His journey led him to research various treatments for chronic pain, including osteopathic and chiropractic manipulation, nutritional support, neural therapy, biocompatible dentistry, and craniosacral therapy at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Today, Dr. Langston is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain as well as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. Langston has a daughter named Skyla, who is a hospice nurse, and she has an adorable daughter named Zoe. Dr. Langston likes to commune with nature, so he lives on three wooded acres and enjoys being around the wildlife in the area. When he can, he also likes to play golf.

Shannon has been working in the dental world for nearly 30 years so far, first joining Dr. Langstons team in 2001. She has her Associates in Business from Trinity Valley Community College. Today, what she enjoys most about her role is getting to interact with patients on a personal level, as well as creating treatment plans and helping them smoothly navigate their insurance. At home, she and her husband have three teenage sons and a giant Schnauzer named Sharlet. Most of her free time is spent watching the boys play football through the fall and run track in the spring but when she can get a moment to herself, she likes to craft!

Brandys career in the dental field spans well over two decades so far, and she loves treating patients just like family by getting to know them on a personal level! She is also trained as a Registered Dental Assistant. At home, Brandy and her husband Wes have a daughter named Rylee. She also has a grown bonus son named BradWesley who works for the UPS. Her spare time is spent chauffeuring Rylee across the state to play soccer, fishing in the familys pond, working in the yard, shopping with her mom and sister, and watching her niece play sports.

Madison is originally from Scurry, TX! She entered the field of dentistry after completing her studies at Dental Replacements Training Academy, subsequently earning her Expanded Functions, CPR, and nitrous oxide certifications. She joined our team in 2019 and currently has over five years of experience under her belt. She loves that each day gives her the opportunity to bond with her patients and colleagues. When she isnt at our office, you can find her spending quality time with her husband, two children, four dogs, three cats, and two goats. Together, they love expanding their farm, enjoying game nights, and cheering each other on during softball and baseball games!

Prior to taking my kids here, I called to verify what my costs would be. After they verified insurance, I was told, in writing, all I owe for the first appointment is $15 for their "COVID cleaning fee" (shouldn't the dentist already have a sterile environment between patients anyway?). I accepted this nominal fee and continued with the appointments. Once insurance all ironed out, I owed hundreds of dollars for uncovered costs. I understand it's not entirely their fault the insurance didn't pay what they billed them. However, do not tell the new patient all that will be owed is their uncovered $15 "COVID cleaning" fee. Overall the staff was pleasant, but be wary. This business seems to be a bit of a money grab.

Keep your kids away from this dentist. I took my four-year-old to him because he claimed to be holistic. When I Made the appointment I told the receptionist that I was not comfortable with my child doing in the x-rays and that I just wanted an exam, cleaning, and to meet the dentist. Upon arriving the Dr. Langston said that my child had to get x-rays. He wanted to do a panoramic on him with a CT machine and also a full set of bite wings. I told him that I was not comfortable with that and he told me that if I didn't do the x-rays that he couldn't help me. It was the most awkward and uncomfortable experience that I've ever had with any medical professional. Then on top of everything he didnt even put a lead apron on my child while he did the X-ray. I have talked to other dentists since then and they were baffled as to why he wanted to do all these x-rays on a four year old and as to why he doesn't use an apron because a child's body is so sensitive to radiation. I regret visiting this dentist office so much, please do not make the same mistake that I made. UPDATE: Dr. Langston responded and said they have lead aprons. Its frustrating to hear that, if they had a lead aprons then why didn't they put one on my child?

I've been a patient at Long Creek Dental for a year now and still have more work to go. I'm not the kind of person who believes in giving 5 stars to anyone really, but 4 stars was too low. If I could, I would have given 4.5 stars. Dr. Langston is knowledgeable and skilled at his job. He also has great people working with him. He and his staff seem to be very aware of patient discomfort and anxiety and they all seem to work together to help with that in different ways. I am not an easy patient to work with AT ALL, because of my anxiety and some health-related issues, but they have been able to work with and around a lot of that. They seem to see each person as an individual and I haven't ever felt like just another patient being herded in and out of the dental chair. All in all, I'm glad I picked this place!

Dr. Langston and his staff are amazing. I have been with them for 20 years now. If you are looking for a great dentist that is holistic, TMJ healing and/or braces. This is the best. Dr. Langston is hands on and does all the procedures and make all of his own crowns and appliances.

I recently visited Long Creek Dental as a new patient. I just moved to the area and I was looking to find a more holistic minded dentist. I am not one to typically leave a review when dissatisfied with a service, but I felt the need to do so in this instance as my experience seems to be quite the opposite of the other reviews noted here. I am not sure if something has recently changed at this office, which is driving the difference, but nonetheless I wanted to share my experience. The office staff was fabulous and very friendly, but the recommendations/actions of the dentist did not sit right with me. First, when I called to schedule an appointment for a cleaning, they mentioned that they will not do a cleaning on your first visit. Your first visit is solely for xrays and an exam. I had a full series of xrays 3 years ago but they were adamant that they look at things different, so I needed to get a new set of xrays on their machine. This cost $140, but if that's what they deem is needed, so be it. Just be prepared that your prior xrays (even if less than 5 years old) wont be accepted here, so you will need to be prepared for this fee plus the added radiation of extra xrays. 2nd, based on my xrays, he recommended MAJOR treatment for TMJ including full braces/orthodontics, even though I have absolutely no issues/symptoms present. I felt his view on treatment(s) are quite extreme, so be prepared for this. Also, he told me that every filling I had in my mouth was 'leaking' and needed to be removed and refilled. I am 31 years old and have seen a total of 8 or 9 dentist throughout my life and have never been told I had a filling that was leaking. I am not saying that some of them may not need to be repaired/replaced, but again, his view point of treatment seemed quite extreme to me as opposed to a more conservative watch and wait approach that I have experienced with prior dentists. Lastly, I had a follow-up appointment for my cleaning earlier today. Come to find out, he does not have a hygienist. He does the cleanings himself. He did not elaborate on why he does not have a hygienist but I thought this was a little odd. Just a warning for future patients, this was by far the most painful cleaning I have ever experienced and I have been told I have an extremely high pain tolerance (I birthed a child without medication intentionally and did not feel that was very painful to give you an idea). I was literally shaking and sweating throughout the appointment from the pain and left the office in tears. He mentioned the discomfort was because I do not floss daily so there was extra plaque build up, but at the same time, the cleaning took him less than 20 minutes from start to finish, which was also the fastest that a cleaning has ever been done on me. This makes me question if the pain was from him working too fast/being rough? If there was so much plaque build up (which I question as I have not been told that in the past by any hygienist/dentist), how was he able to complete the cleaning so quickly? Needless to say, I will be finding a new dentist that practices with a more conservative approach and is gentler with cleanings. I hope this experience can help someone navigate this office in the future.

I've been with Dr Langston for many years. He has done dentistry, orthodontistry, and TMJ treatment for me. His holistic approach considers everything, including the jaw position, and he goes to great lengths to make sure the patient is accommodated. Dr Langston is extremely knowledgeable and I would easily recommend him to anyone looking for dental work.
