Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

absolutely love this Dentist! Dr. Chung is amazing! He was so gentle, kind and honest. Austin at the front desk was super sweet and really helped me find plan that worked for me and my mom. my sister also comes to this office and loves them. she had her wisdom teeth extracted and the whole staff was super sweet.

This place is sketch. Hygienist told me one thing, the doctor told me another. I booked an appointment for a deep cleaning, and one hour and a half later, all I had was x rays, an estimate for more than twice what it should be for a deep cleaning, and a referral to an ortho who happens to be right across the street...i just wanted a tooth cleaning and was told the hygienists leave at 5 (even tho business hours are until 6??) So there was no time for a cleaning...for a 3:30 appointment? Really??

Update 10/25/22 A few days after my review, Austin reached out to me and apologized for the situation that occurred. I appreciated that he wanted to make things right by taking steps to correct the situation, which included a refund on the cost of the bone graft and made sure the dentists are up front with any possible costs related to future procedures. I told him that it was not my goal to receive any monetary compensation but he insisted on making things right. What Austin did went a long way in terms of taking steps to correct the mistake. Therefore, I am updating my review from 1 start to 3 stars. I am glad (and truly hope) that the dentists will be more forthcoming with their future patients on additional costs associated with future dental procedures. I also hope that the front desk people will be more professional and kind when talking to their patients about payment. ---- Unethical and nontransparent billing/dental procedure. I visited the office for a routine cleaning and was recommended to do a tooth extraction for my wisdom tooth. Went over the cost of the procedure and agreed to the price. On the day of my tooth extraction, I was informed that I will need a bone graft procedure that will cost an additional $1k. This all happened while I was prepared for oral surgery (sitting on chair with iv inserted in my right arm). Was given less than 5 minutes to make a decision if I wanted a bone graft. Talk about pressuring someone to make a decision immediately. I was very upset that my dentist did not discuss a possible bone graft procedure despite me asking him about the oral surgery procedure prior to the surgery appointment. My wife mentioned that she saw something similar happened to an elderly woman who was there for an oral procedure. I agreed to the bone graft and asked Austin if I be on a monthly payment plan. I even asked if there are any interests or fees associated with the procedure. I was told there were no fees or interests. Less than one week after my oral surgery, I received a voice message from Darlene asking me to call her back about the payment plan or she will send my bill to collections. When my wife called the office to ask why Long Beach Smiles threatened to use collections when they have never reached out to me before. Darlene replied that I was supposed to contact them to set up the payment plan, which I have contacted the office three days after the surgery to ask questions about brushing my teeth. They did not tell me about the payment plan and I thought they would be the one contacting me about it. A simple yet very important tip about customer service, you do not threaten your patient with collections when you are making your first phone call to him not even a week after the procedure. I then proceeded to talk and pay for the payment plan and Darlene mentioned there was a $20 fee for the payment plan. I explained that Austin told me there was no additional interest or fees associated with the payment plan. I was so upset by the whole experience that I rather pay more in interest with my credit card than to pay them the $20 fee. I paid the bill in full and will never return to this place again. Darlene and Long Beach Smiles, please know that hard working people like me are struggling with money as we are needing to spend more on gas, food, and rent. I do not appreciate how you guys blindsided me on such a huge expense without properly giving the time to plan, save, and pay for it. From beginning to end, this dentist office shows that they are extremely unethical and mislead their patients. Please avoid them at all cost.

Went for my first visit on 9/30/22, very friendly and efficient staff, addressed all my questions and presented all recommended treatment options. Glad I finally got back to the dentist and that Long Beach Smiles and Dr. Pham are my dentist!

Super friendly staff and very informative doctors! The office does not fee dated at all. Each patient gets their own room unlike many other dental offices. Love the Smiles chain branches. Still get superior service with each office added their own flare.

LB Smiles is a fantastic dentistry office. The front staff is helpful and kind. Dr. Pham is awesome! I've referred family and friends; everyone has told me they were grateful for the referral and agree LB Smiles is a great dentist office.

This place deserves less than 1 star. The front desk women are very apathetic and blame customers for their problems. The one I spoke to on the phone, made three mistakes when pulling up my chart. After doing so, I asked her to acknowledge my appointment and my tardiness due to driving from Victorville. She invalidated my situation and then told the office that I was rude to her. I was not rude, but calm during her mistakes and the whole phone call. When I came in, she told me I had to apologize in order to get services. I didn't apologize for something I didn't do. Go somewhere else. The doctors are really nice. It's a shame the place keeps such horrid front desk representatives.

Since everyone is looking for something different in a dentist, it would be helpful if I listed some aspects of this dentist to see if that is what you are looking for. If you want a dentist that will change your appointment without you knowing... If you want a dentist that is so efficient at billing that they will try to bill you twice for the same service... If you want a dentist that does not let you know that they are not prepared for your visit so that you go have to rearrange your schedule and set another appointment after you have arrived for the original appointment... If you want a dentist that says they will call in a prescription and then you have to call them back 4 times over the next 2 days to actually get that prescription sent... Then this is the dentist's office for you.

I saw Dr. Marian Naguib as a new patient this week. The office was very nice and all the staff friendly and helpful. She was great- very personable and made me feel comfortable. I felt like they efficiently did my films, cleaning and evaluation, and did not try to sell me any services other than what I needed. I am happy to have her as my new dentist.

New patient here at this location and the experience was wonderful. Everyone on the staff was really nice and were very nice in answering my questions throughout the appointment. Dr. Abdullah was so kind and was so genuine during my appointment that eased my nerves about coming to the dentist. They worked with my schedule and my insurance and helped me tremendously. First time I've been to the dentist in years and it was a great experience.

I will not be returning to this dentist office. The service was fine when I got my root canal done in December 2021. But after, smh! I have had to call them every month to settle, fix or address my bill. I paid half the bill up front and the remain balance was only supposed to be a four month payment plan set up on auto pay but they have done everything under the sun to mess this up. I do not like companies to constantly mess with my money. They have lost me as a patient.

I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist and I am a challenging patient. Dr. Abdalla and the dental team at Long Beach Smiles were so kind to me during both of my appointments (one a check-up and cleaning, the second a root canal). They did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and were very kind during my appointments. They moved quickly and made accommodations throughout my appointment to work with me. Excellent care and dental work.

Nothing but good things to say about this place! I hadn't been to the dentist in close to 4 years and needed a deep cleaning. Austin at the front desk eased my fears and was sooo sweet and courteous. Donald was gentle and kind during my consult and steered me in the right direction in caring better for my teeth. And Nancy did an awesome job on my deep cleaning and laser treatment. I can already tell my gums and teeth are so much healthier . I forgot the names of the x-ray techs that took my pictures but they were super sweet each time as well. I'm so happy to find a dental practice that takes such good care of my husband and I.

First before I rant. I want to say the staff is extremely professional. Coming here you better have deep pockets, they love to UPSELL everything. By the time there done with you your insurance is maxed out in one visit. They are extremely expensive, what they wanted to change me for a procedure was double the price of what other dentist charged me . Good thing I went somewhere else for a 2nd option . Clean state of the art office, and you pay for that. Maybe shop around? My opinion..

They used to be great. Now they're very aggressive when it comes to upselling services and their quality of care has gotten worse. The last basic cleaning I had there damaged my gum line. Won't be going back ever. I'd stay away. There are better options.
