Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth. This is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.
Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp fang-like teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is vital that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

I began going to Dr. Jasmine Minasyan the beginning of 2022 & she & her staff have been absolutely fantastic. The office has a genuine sense of concern for the well-being, dental health, & comfort of its patients. I sincerely praise Dr. Minasyan & her amazing staff for restoring my smile & for the excellent guidance towards addressing my dental needs in such a personal, comfortable fashion. She is truly a gem in Long Beach, CA.

I've been to dozens of dentists. Dr. Minasyan is by far the best I've ever experienced. Usually, as a first time patient, dentists find all sorts of services to tack on. A simple cleaning turn into hundreds of dollars out of pocket. That has yet to happen. She is honest, caring, and understanding of your needs. On top of being ethical, she also is extremely knowledgeable. I always learn new dental hygiene tips and tricks when visiting. She explains the value in flossing and for me it finally clicked which led me to become much more consistent with my flossing habits. I highly recommend Dr. Minasyan for anyone looking for any level of dental service. Top notch business with amazing staff.

I have been under Dr. Jasmine Minasyan's dental care of over 1 year. My dental care was in serious trouble and I found Dr. Jasmine due to a medical emergency. I was researching fearlessly through Facebook, Yelp, and unfortunately I read so many horror stories of local Long Beach dentist lack of care, compassion, as well as how most of the local dentists take the sales approach to dental care. THEN, I stumbled upon Dr. Jasmine's profile on Yelp. She has really great Yelp reviews, and I have had previous bad experiences with a Dentist so that was important to me. As I left from my cleaning today over a year later with my partner(now also a patient of Dr. Jasmine's), which by the way is a Saturday. She see's patients on Saturdays! I realize that Dr. Jasmine is the first and only dentist I have ever had that actually takes the time to get to know her patients, builds relationships with her patients, and truly cares about her patients well being. Another patient entered the lobby while I was waiting for my partner to finish with his cleaning. She spends probably too much time with each patient(which probably hurts her earnings) because she genuinely cares for her patients. I realized she treats all of us that way, like we are family. When we left the office today my partner turned to me and said "Dr. Jasmine, is the best dentist I have ever had" and I have to agree with him whole heartedly. 1 year later, my dental care is completely turned around thanks to her. If you are in Long Beach-Downtown-Belmont Shore-Alamitos Bay and are looking for an honest, caring, patient focused, and a medical professional with integrity you will be blessed to have her as your dentist. Her office is located on the corner of Alamitos & Broadway right behind the Chevron Gas station.

Dr. Jasmine takes such good care of my teeth, I travel from the bay are to see her! She's a perfectionist and it's been not easy to find a replacement. She takes her time to make sure everything feels right after the work is done (I needed a bridge.) I also did whitening and couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome.
