As a principal dentist at Lone Tree Dental Group, Dr. Maryam E. Khakpour has dedicated her professional life to making people look younger, feel better about themselves, and give them greater confidence.
Dr. Khakpour knew she wanted to become a Dentist at the young age of 14. She chose to study dentistry because she became very passionate that people should never be in pain. This belief runs through everything Dr. Khakpour does as a dentist for her patients, and how her team takes care of you. She uses the latest pain-free technology to enhance and restore patients' smiles, and takes time to empower them with the knowledge about the major difference that great oral health can make in their lives.
After Graduating from the prestigious University of Shiraz School of Dentistry in 1989, Dr. K continued her education receiving her degree in California in 2007. She is one of only a few Doctors who are credentialed by the D.O.C.S (Dental Oral Sedation Academy) which is the most important international academy for sedation and anxiety-free dentistry. Dr. K is extremely passionate about her work and has completed many hours of continuing education with the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. K has lived in the Bay Area for 10 years now. She resides in her home in Walnut Creek with her husband and their 2 daughters. Dr. K enjoys traveling, exercising, dancing, and is very active in both her daughters school life.

The office was clean. I met Gail at the front desk and she was nice and personable. Dr. Khakpour and her assistant were pleasant. And put my nerves at ease. I left there not being balanced billed. They provided a treatment plan, what my insurance would cover, and my copay. My visit overall was great!

Great staff and very clean place. I hadn't been to a dentist since before covid and I usually tend to have anxiety when in a dental chair. I felt so relaxed and and everyone was super helpful and caring. I made a great choice in choosing Lone Tree Dental Group.

Dr. Khakpour did a wonderful professional job in putting in my new gold crown. It fits perfectly & no adjustments were needed. She replaced my crown just in the nick of time as that tooth was on the verge of forming a cavity. I was so happy she caught it in time!

I typically do not write negative reviews unless I've had multiple bad experiences with a business. I have been to Lone Tree Dentistry 4 times in the last few months. I was scheduled to have a crown replacement and root canal completed at the end of July. I arrived for my appointment to be told by the dentist that I was scheduled for my crown replacement, but not the root canal and I had to come back in August. Total waste of time. Fast forward to my last visit (which is my final). The root canal was completed with zero issue. The replacement crown procedure on the other hand was a nightmare. They lost my replacement crown (I'm not kidding) and were scrambling to find it, which they finally did after 20 minutes. I wish that was the worst part, but it isn't. My crown procedure was administered by a dental student! This was not disclosed to me at all and she was blundering the placement so badly that the main dentist, Dr. Lam had to come in and show her how to complete the procedure. I never agreed to having a dental student work on my teeth, and I never would. If I hadn't come right out of a root canal, I would have left right there and then. I expected a dental professional to complete the procedure and the fact I had a novice working on my teeth is just beyond unacceptable. I still have crown cement on the sides of my new tooth and the job was done so poorly that I am reaching out to another dental group to fix their mistakes! Do yourself a favor and avoid them.

We have been going here for 6+ years. Excellent for the whole family! She is a very good dentist, great with adults and children. She and her staff are so friendly and kind. We highly recommend!
