At Lone Mountain Family Dentistry we are dedicated to helping our patients maintain healthy teeth, gums, and an overall smile! A beautiful, toothy grin is the key to confidence and a great start to a new quality of life. Dr. Chris Kleintjes, D.D.S., started Lone Mountain Family Dentistry 35 years ago to help the members of his community gain that wonderful confidence and to provide outstanding and affordable dental care.
In 2006, Dr. Kevin Peterson joined Lone Mountain Family Dentistrywith the same dedication and enthusiasm for dental excellence. Dr. Peterson is now the leading practitioner and remains up to date with the latest technology while offering a variety of dental services to serve the Northern Nevada area.
Yanel Singh was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and is a graduate from Dayton High School. Yanel has lived in Carson City for more than 27 years and has been dental assistant for 15 years. A mother to five beautiful children, Singh loves her profession and is happy to be in a career she loves.
Nikki earned her dental hygiene degree in 2004 from Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV, and has been at Lone Mountain Dentistry since 2005. Nikki was raised in Carson City, NV, where she enjoys spending time with her ten-year-old daughter and mixing electronic music in Reno as, DJ Nikki Smiles.
Shawn Webb has been a dental hygienist for more than 11 years and has had the privilege to work for Dr. Peterson at Lone Mountain Family Dentistry for most of them. Webb was born in Carson City, NV and raised in the Gardnerville area. Shawn loves what she does and the people she gets to meet and help. Shawn is married and has three little ones (chihuahuas that is).
Kristen Brodie graduated Taft Union High School and Taft Community College with honors before moving to San Diego, CA where she attended Maric Medical College with an emphasis in Anatomy, Physiology, Terminology, and Insurance Billing. Kristen was later employed for more than ten years by Aetna Insurance in San Diego and transferred with this company to Portland, OR and Fresno, CA. Kristen Brodie left Fresno for Carson City, NV where she worked in the medical field for the first seven years before she accepted an opportunity in the Dental field.
Kristen Brodie is happy to have been working with Lone Mountain Family Dentistry for 18 years and loves her wonderful office, staff and doctor. A quick shout-out to her two children: Russel and Emily, whom she loves dearly and who are both grown with families of their own.
Annette was born in Hazen, NV before moving to Yerington, NV in the eighth grade. Annette graduated from Sheridan College and has been a dental hygienist for more than 23 years. Annette loves her career and is happy to go to work every day! Annette is married with one daughter and loves to read, craft, sew and crochet.
Originally from Idaho, Dr. Peterson comes from a long line of family involved with dentistry. Petersons father and brother are both dentists, as are two of Dr. Petersons brother-in-laws! Kevin lived in Cost Rica for a couple of years and is fluent in Spanish. A graduated from Ohio State University Dental School in 2006, Dr. Kevin Peterson has been at Lone Mountain Family Dentistry for 10 years, was partner with Dr. Kleintjes for several years, and has taken over the practice since Dr. Kleintjes retirement, two years ago. Dr. Peterson and his wife have two children and love living in Northern Nevada! Peterson loves the outdoors, hiking, trail running, tennis, and the Nevada sunshine.

I called on a Sunday, because my tooth broke. I got a call the next mourning, stating they don't have time to see me, and they hope I can find somebody to help me with my problem. Very unprofessional, second, they probably would've gotten a new patient. When, I called around and got somebody willing to take me. Not as quick as I wanted. But, oh well. Office staff is a zero as far as the rest, I have no clue. Don't waste your time calling because, they don't have the time for you..

From the front desk, to my favorite hygienist to Dr. Peterson. First rate, five stars, absolutely excellent! Thank you for taking such great care of my teeth!

It has been a very long time since I been to a dentist. So when I came here they were some of the nicest and most calming people. I usually have high anxiety when it comes to dentist visits, but they were great at keeping me calm and very polite. I was very happy coming to them after such a long hiatus. Plus they have cool green glasses.

Dr. Peterson and his staff are extremely professional, courteous, easy to deal with on billing, pain-free, and knowledgeable about their field. It's always a pleasure to visit there, even if it is the dentist's office.
