While our practice has been taking care of families from Lompoc, Buellton, and Santa Maria for 25 years, Dr. Dane Dudley brings a wealth of new experience and training to our community, as well as a unique perspective on dental care.
Dr. Dudley has tremendous curiosity and a lifelong interest in fixing anything that needed repair. He discovered in dentistry that working with people who had smiles that needed repairs or refinement was exceptionally rewarding. While he initially started his career in oral surgery, his interest in all things dental led him to pursue a more comprehensive approach to his care.
Another part of dental care Dr. Dudley is committed to is helping fearful patients learn that going to the dentist can be comfortable, with minimal pain and anxiety. We have up-to-date technology like electric handpieces instead of drills that are much quieter and smoother and digital imaging instead of traditional X-rays. We can also offer anti-anxiety medication to help calm those nerves and help you relax during your visit. Many of our most fearful patients are now our most cheerful when theyre here!
And because Dr. Dudley has training in multiple dental disciplines, you dont have to get used to a new dentist if you need different types of care.His positive and upbeat attitude is mirrored in our whole team here at Lompoc Family Dental. Dr. Dudley was born and raised in Southern California. He attended UCSB where he received a degree in Developmental Biology. He went on to study at NYU College of Dentistry and graduated with honors in implant dentistry. Dr. Dudley then continued his training at UCLA where he completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. This residency focused on the comprehensive treatment of patients that required complex full mouth reconstruction and rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Dudley saw patients on an emergency basis to relieve dental pain at a UCLA based Urgent Care facility.
Dr. Dudleys attention to detail and love for learning had led dentistry to be more than just a career, but a passion. He is constantly seeking to hone his skills and increase his knowledge with the most current continuing education courses and research. Denise has been in the dental field for 9 years and is looking forward to many more years to come! She was born and raised in Lompoc and is one of the staff members that is bilingual. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Denise is always ready for a good hike or game of softball.
Kayla was born and raised in Lompoc. After graduating from Cabrillo High School in 2008, she started working for the local dentist as an office assistant and receptionist. While working, Kayla attended Allan Hancock College where she received a degree in Liberal Arts as well as Math and Science. She attended the Dental Hygiene Program at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA and graduated in 2015. Outside of the dental office, Kayla spends most of her time with family and friends. Kayla and her husband have two dogs, Franklin and Ralphy, and a 3-legged cat, Dwight. Kayla enjoys cooking, baking, and gardening. She attends classes regularly and loves to learn new things.
Linda has over 30 years of combined registered dental assisting and front office experience. She enjoys traveling, cooking, ballroom dancing, and spending time with her family. She knows the ins and outs of dentistry and uses this knowledge to help our patients understand treatment and billing concerns. Most of all, she enjoys interacting with patients that she considers her dental family.
Sonya is our RDA, she has 15 years experience in the dental field and still is very passionate about it. She loves spending time with her family, which includes her 3 girls. On her down time, she likes to go to sporting events and concerts with friends.
