As the owner of Loganville Family Dentistry, established in 1995, Dr. Ponnie is thrilled to practice on the very land of her great-grandparents home place. When creating the practice of her dreams, she ensured its foundation was and will always continue to be warmth, a welcoming inviting atmosphere, compassionate, and professional with a family orientation. Along with her team, every day Dr. Ponnie uses the WIDIOM rule Would I do it on me? You are in good hands at Loganville Family Dentistry!
Dr. Ponnie received her bachelors degree form the University of Georgia and then in 1994, she achieved her Doctor of Dental Medicine from The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. A firm believer in lifetime learning, Dr. Ponnie and her team are committed to regularly attending courses, workshops, conferences, and lectures to increase their knowledge and skills so that you will directly benefit from the most up-to-date dental care. It was a true honor when she received the 5-Star Dentist award and was designated Loganvilles Best for 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Dr. Ponnie is married to David. They have two adult children Priscilla (a teacher) and Zachary (in college learning to be a teacher) and are the proud grandparents of Gloriana. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Ponnie likes to read, sew, swim, work in the yard, exercise, and spend time with family. Whenever they can, pooches Ben and Mick (a standard poodle and a labradoodle) like to tag along for the ride!
Because theres always time for more Dr. Ponnie is a volunteer adjunct professor at the Dental College of Georgia in Agusta. She also gives her time to the FISH Dental Clinic, Georgia Mission of Mercy, and Special Olympics to provide dental care to those in need. Also, the Loganville Family Dentistry team volunteers at the Brighter Smiles for a Brighter Future fund raiser for the Gwinnett Hospital System Foundation.
Like Dr. Ponnie, Dr. Brian earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Hes a member of multiple dental associations including the American Dental Associating, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Hinman Dental Society which is dedicated to providing leading-edge educational and professional development to its members. Dr. Brian specializes in sleep apnea and other sleep disorders.
Dr. Katelyn also holds a bachelors degree and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She first attended Samford University and then the Augusta University Dental College of Georgia, the same dental school Dr. Poisal and Dr. Smith attended. Shes a member of the American Dental Association.

As usual. the care and the staff is just wonderful. We have been coming to Loganville Family Dentistry for over 25 years and we now drive 50 miles each way to get there. Highly recommend. All the dentists are just great. This time I had a broken filling that had to be replaced. It had been many, many years since I last had a filling that I was surprised how easy this was. Dr Smith is great. She and the hygienist were just great.

I am very comfortable at this facility! The staff is friendly and makes going to the dentist a lot less stressful. My family and I have been patients there for years. They take the time to explain all treatment.

I have seen a lot of dentists in my life. Some good and some not so good. Loganville Family is the best dental practice I have seen in six decades! Let's start with Brit, my hygienist. Yes, she is mine and will be mine anytime I go in because that is their policy whenever possible. She is a consummate professional, and more importantly, a genuinely nice person. She talks at the patients level and takes her time to be sure everything I needed to done was and explained everything she was doing while doing it. Anyone lucky enough to have her as their hygienist is truly blessed. The office took the most complete set of X-rays that have been taken since I left the Army nearly 30 years ago. Every possible angle, showing every root and tooth. Brit handled this like a super pro. My dentist, Dr. Smith came in for just a few minutes and did the exam, and we discussed other options for down the road. She was professional and compassionate. This is the dental practice that combines technology and patient care and I can't recommend them high enough. The office staff is also outstanding, especially Rhonda who set everything up for me initially.

In the past, I had experienced a couple pretty awful visits at other dentist and orthodontic offices. I had so many I came to just expect that the first time I walked in here, but WOW did Loganville Family Dentistry CHANGE that! I now look forward to my dentist appointments knowing that I'm getting treated by the knowledge and very personable people here!
