Dr. David Lloyd was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, his family multi-generational Chicagoans. He and his wife, Rose, and their sons: Shawn, Peter and Christopher, currently reside in Lake Forest, Illinois.
Dr. Lloyd is a graduate of Oak Park/River Forest High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana as an honor student on the Deans list. He then attended Loyola University School of Dentistry, where he received an outstanding student award as a sophomore and was on the Deans List until he graduated cum laude with a doctorate degree in dental surgery. He was awarded the relatively coveted residency in general dentistry at the Veterans Research Hospital in Chicago, but, rather, he elected to enter the orthodontic residency graduate program at Loyola University School of Dentistry where he received his certificate of specialty in the field of orthodontics. During the second year of his residency, he served as a clinical instructor. Throughout dental school and while completing his residency, Dr. Lloyd was a member in good standing of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society. Following completion of the orthodontic specialty program, Dr. Lloyd successfully passed the Illinois Specialty in Orthodontics Board from which time he has maintained his status as a specialist in Orthodontics.
Besides running a full-time orthodontic practice in Lake Forest and Libertyville, Illinois, Dr. Lloyd has worked as a consultant in a research and development capacity for several orthodontic companies, and, for many years, has been a consultant to the Navy regarding orthognathic surgery cases.
Dr. Lloyd has devoted his life to his family and the pursuit of clinical expertise, having logged hundreds of hours of continuing education. In his commitment to continuing education, he and his staff regularly attend the national American Association of Orthodontists meeting and various educational seminars throughout the year. To-stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Lloyd maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists.

Grateful to Dr Lloyd for my smile. Had him nearly a decade ago now (in middle school) and was just looking in the mirror with a sense of gratitude for how my teeth look to this day. Grateful for Dr Lloyd and his passion for what he does and grateful that my parents made the decision to send me there to fix my (quite terrible at the time) teeth. If more people of all professions took their craft as seriously as Dr Lloyd does the world would surely be a better place.

I've been seeing Dr. Lloyd since I was in 1st or 2nd grade. I am now 35 years old (crazy)! Dr. Lloyd has really helped me a lot over the many many years and I have a beautiful smile to thank him for. He even once told me I had feminine teeth because they are round. I started out with a palatal expander and face gear when I was in second grade, had a retainer, then braces, and now two permanent retainers. I see Dr. Lloyd now for my TMD. He is a great orthodontist and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Lloyd and staff couldn't be more accommodating and efficient. Always returning calls night and day. Fixing my teenage kids carelessness at once. Our whole family loves this doctor!

My oldest child just finished treatment (and even got her braces off before 8th grade graduation!) and could not be happier with her results. I can't say enough about my experience with Lloyd Orthodontics. Dr. Lloyd is incredibly knowledge about his work-he doesn't take short cuts to expedite treatment or cut corners economically, he does what's necessary to get teeth straighten permanently. He is a perfectionist and will put the effort in to produce amazing results. His staff has been very accommodating with scheduling appointments and billing. They are efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Lloyd for treatment.
