Julio A. Llera, D.D.S. is a 1980 Magna Cum Laude Honor graduate of the prestigiousUniversity of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where he graduated second in his class. His honors included The Certificate of Merit Magna Cum Laude Graduate and The Harry E. Latchman Medal for Complete Oral Operative Restoration. He was also awarded The Ward Lay Scholarship to the L.D. Pankey Institute of Advanced Dental Education, The Psi Omega National Council Scholastic Achievement Award, and The Maryland Society of Dentistry for Childrens Pediatric Dentistry Achievement Award.
Dr. Llera was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society,Gorgas Odontologic Honor Society,Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Dental Societyand Whos Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. He completed a one-year General Practice Residency in Dentistry at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Miami, Florida in June, 1981. Over the last thirty years Dr.Llera has attended numerous continuing education courses insubjects such as Cosmetic Dentistry,Dental Implants, Porcelain veneers and crowns,Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, Oral Cancer and Pathology,Dental Occlusionand many otherGeneral Dentistry topics.
Dr. Llera is a member of the American Dental Association and the South Florida District Dental Association. An active alumnus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, he participates in many of their continuing education programs. In 2005, he was selected as one of Americas Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Dr. Llera believes in giving back to the community and has been acknowledged for his services by the El Heraldo de Broward; and the Hispanic Unity of Florida has recognized Dr. Llera for his pro bono services to their clients. Dr. Llera believes that if he takes good care of his patients, his patients will take care of him. With this philosophy, he has built a very successful practice where his patients feel comfortable and well cared for.
Antonio Llera D.D.S.graduated with honorsfrom the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where he was trained using state of the art equipment and the latest techniques in General Dentistry. While a dental student he wasselected as a member of Gamma Pi Delta ProsthodonticHonor society, as well as Gorgas Odontological Honor society. He was also selected to the Implant/Prosthodontics clerkship, where he was given advanced training in the placement and restoration of dental implants.
Upon graduation, he completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration hospital in Baltimore, MD where he was able to refine and master his skills in surgical implant placement and restoration, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Antonio Llera is a member of various dental organizations, to further his lifelong journey of dental learning, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association and South Florida District Dental Association.
Following in the footsteps of his father Dr. Julio A. Llera, Dr. Antonio Llera hopes to use his advanced training and state of the art techniques to provide the patient with excellent esthetic results in a pleasant environment. Dr. Antonio Llera truly enjoys all aspects of dentistry, as well as the relationships he is able to establish with all of his patients.
